Title: From the D2 playoffs in case you missed it
Post by: JohnDeere on November 25, 2008, 02:46:56 PM
From the D2 playoffs. You probably missed it due to the incessant non-stop Saban the Great highlights.

Quote
The Abilene Christian University Wildcats were all but unstoppable Saturday.

Bernard Scott scored seven touchdowns and Billy Malone passed for six TDs as the Wildcats reached the end zone on 13 of 15 possessions as second-ranked ACU defeated No. 9 West Texas A&M 93-68 in an NCAA Division II second-round playoff game at Shotwell Stadium.

The teams combined for 22 touchdowns in a three-hour, 55-minute scorefest that saw numerous school, Lone Star Conference and national records obliterated.
.........

The Wildcats finished with 810 total yards with West Texas (10-2) rolling up 721 behind the passing of quarterback Keith Null (42-of-63, 595 yards, seven touchdowns), WT receiver Charly Martin had 14 catches for 323 yards and five TDs.

The Final Score:

West Texas A&M (9)  68
  Abilene Christian (2) 93
 Final
