Every season since Tuberville arrived at Auburn, his teams have provided fans with a signature win: One of those defining moments that gives fans solace, hope, inspiration or pride. He gives them something to hang their hats on, something to take the sting out of what might otherwise be a disappointing season, something to provide encouragement for seasons to come.

Unless Auburn wins Saturday, there won't be one of those games for Tuberville in 2008. If there was any realisitic hope of an upset, I'd be quietly looking forward to the deflation to come (like I was when they were talking all their shit in 2002) but this is the most dysfunctional Auburn team I've seen since Jimmy Carter was president. I know it defies logic and the odds, but so did the ass kicking we gave them that started the string of wins. Our d will have to play its best game of the year and if we can just kick it up one or two notches on offense and get a break or two, anything is possible.

You say that as if we had NO shot to win the Georgia game. We were the better team on that day. If any one of a multitude of things would have actually gone our way (missed extra point, missed chipshot field goal, blatant PI no call(s) in the endzone against them in the last seconds of the game, blatantly bad PI call on them and then tagging on 5 yards for Tubs showing emotion over it), we could have easily won.
