Title: Jackson Back In the Mix
Post by: wesfau2 on August 04, 2024, 09:46:17 AM
I couldn't find  the other post where Snags was asking about Sean Jackson.  Some "insider" on the Auburn board at tigerdroppings claimed to know some things.

Same poster is back saying that things have changed:

He was gonna stay around the team and help “coach” then after he graduated he was going to look for playing time. The coaching staff came to him and said they needed him on the field. So expect to see him on special teams and getting some carries in some blowouts. I’d love to see Sean get 5 to 6 snaps a game in pass pro and a couple carries. Dude absolutely levels gunners on kickoff receiving team.

The guy can play and we can easily have two banged up running backs on the mend at the same time. Glad to have him back.

I’m glad & am a firm believer that the Jacksonator is underrated. Punishing back with some shiftiness. Reminds me of Kam Pettway a little bit.

He's back on the official roster.  Good to see.

If Pettway hadn't busted his scapula (fucking OUCH), I wonder what 2017 would have looked like with him splitting time with KJ.

He was ready to go. He just couldn’t stop getting popped for weed.
Gus should have played him anyway. The second half of that SECCG would have been glorious.

And a berth in the NC game/tourney as the added boost.

Missed it by that much…

I looked forward to that the whole offseason prior. Especially after seeing a snapshot of it with the White boy in ‘16. Unfortunate, but KJ was a beast until his 35,000th hard hit of the season. Gus sure knew how to run ‘em into the ground, and even more so how to stymie QB development.

Wasn't that when Gus had "Screen King" Jarrett Stidham taking the snaps?

Don't you mean Denver Broncos starting quarterback Jarrett Stidham?

I refuse to acknowledge the existence of that franchise. If that's where he is, my condolences and hope he saves up the game checks for his future at Allstate Insurance or Fidelity Investments.
