Let me save you the trouble:
The league’s 14 football information directors that participate in AL.com (http://al.com/)’s annual SEC Spring Report are asked their take on a bunch of categories such as who’s the best at their position, knowing it’s June and the name they keyboard in today could change over the course of the season.
Today’s Most Valuable Player might not be Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral or JT Daniels might not be the SEC player most likely to end up in the Big Apple for December’s Heisman Trophy presentation.
Shoot, last year the SEC not only had the Heisman winner in Alabama’s DeVonta Smith but two others from Alabama, quarterback Mac Jones and running back Najee Harris, finished in the top five among Heisman voters. Florida quarterback Kyle Trask was in the discussion too, finishing fourth in the voting behind Smith, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Jones.
For now, it’s all subjective and, let’s face it, we love to see who the top players are at their positions entering the season, which gets underway Saturday, Aug. 28, for a handful of teams. Tennessee and Bowling Green are scheduled to kick off the SEC season on Thursday, Sept. 2, in Knoxville.

Is Matt Corral all that and the proverbial bag o chips? MVP???
Tank Bigsby not in the top 2 RBs in the league?
No Smoke Monday on the S list? No McCreary on the CB list?
Minor love to Zakoby and The Family Leg.

Agree on your observations. It seemed to me that Corral was hot and cold. At times, I thought, Oh shit, don't want to face that guy." Then he'd look lost in other games. Quick check of his stats bears that out, in that he threw for over 3,300 yards and had 29 TD's. Also had 14 interceptions, which is too damn many. The good thing for him was he had a kick ass, do-all receiver in Elijah Moore.
JT Daniels? Everybody claims he's all-world. He started 4 games so I don't think you can anoint him King of the World quite yet. Oh, and Fuck Georgia.
My thing with Tank is, how can you put Daniels up there on a small sample size, but not give Tank the love when he left no doubt what his game is.

I keep reaching into this hornet's nest and expecting to get honey. Why do I keep getting stung instead?

I thought it was the perfect analogy myself. the al.cumz is no honey pot for anybody other than the crimpsum tahd, yet we all keep expecting it to be for us one day.
