I kept hoping that people would wake up and see through this charlatan. Alas, they did not.
For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be an American.
Over the next four years, the definition of what it means to be "American" will undergo a radical change. We are shedding the hard-working, frontier-busting, self-made, moral, decent and patriotic attributes in order to more closely mirror the failed European model. We are ridding ourselves of the fierce independence that defined the nation, the firm belief in right and wrong and the courage to act on those principles in favor of an attitude of global appeasement -- yet another failed policy. Just ask Chamberlain
I have never been more completely amazed at the collective stupidity of the American people. But in a country where dreck like American Idol remains popular, where morons like Larry the Cable Guy can carve out a living, where donkey shit like Dancing With the Stars is considered high entertainment, what else can you expect? Of course they didn't have the discernment to look beyond the surface.
God help our children. I weep for the future.
