Picks up $15.1 mil in the process and is probably already in Tuscaloosa "consulting" for their defense.

He's been paid, in the aggregate, $21MM to NOT do the job he was hired to do.
I'm in the wrong goddamned business.

I'm one of the least woke people any of you know but even I think it's shady that we NEVER hear names from top flight HBCU coaches when one of these Power Five jobs comes open. Never. Not that one of those guys has a better chance than any other coach to do special things in Columbia but they never get mentioned. Never. And, no NFL, I don't want to get extra picks for bringing a minority coach aboard. That's even worse and stupid. Whatever. South Carolina and Auburn have a lot in common as far as programs go except we paid for a title and they haven't figured out the math on that yet.

Mostly because - in large part - HBCU's are slightly above upper tier HS level as far as talent and quality - AT BEST. You get a few exceptions like Doug Williams or Air McNair, or a good coach like Eddie Robinson - but if you really watch those games, they are not very good. Its more about the tailgating beforehand and the halftime show. Watching the coaching staffs on the sideline is almost entertainment. Extremely animated and almost dysfunctional. Making the leap from that level to SEC Program would be quite the jump.

Good thing you put that "one of" qualifier on there.
