Title: The Rona in 2003
Post by: Snaggletiger on August 19, 2020, 11:37:15 AM
Scanning the radio this morning on the way to work and came across Rick & Bubba playing this compilation of lines from a 2003 fictional series called The Dead Zone. I was curious and bi so I Googlized it and found this blurb.

The series, 'The Dead Zone,' had an episode titled, 'Plague.' In the episode there are several references to terms we have unfortunately become all too familiar with during the current COVID-19 Pandemic. Characters use terms such as Coronavirus, "High Fever and Respiratory Stress," and they even mention "chloroquine" as a cure.

The lines they were playing included them saying several times that the virus came from China and how they needed to wear masks and quarantine.  It was so spot on with what's going on today, the only difference they could find is that the drug used today is called Hydrochloroquine.

That's some Twilight Zone level shiot right there.

Coronavirus is nothing new.  It's just that this year's version is new/unknown.

And a big nothing burger.

Manufactured panic.
