So definitely Gonzo (Seniors) ranked in order of importance:
Defense:
1a. Derrick Brown
1b. Marlon Davidson
2. Jeremiah Dinson
3. Daniel Thomas
4. Javaris Davis
Offense:
1. Mike Horton
2. Prince Tega
3. Bailey Sharp
4. Jack Driscoll
5. Marquel Harrell
6. Kaleb Kim
7. Will Hastings
8. Kam Martin
9. Sal Cannella
10. Jay Jay Wilson
Could potentially leave early?
Defense:
Big Kat Bryant
KJ Britt
Nick Coe
TD Moultry
Offense:
Eli Stove
Marquis McClain
So obviously we will take a dip at Defense next year. I think we will still have a terrific DLine but you can't lose players the caliber of Brown and Davidson and not expect some hit. Dinson and Thomas are leaders and will be missed at DB but we have some underclassman (Smoke) who have looked good this year. Overall I think our Defense shouldn't take a huge step back. Assuming the Juniors stay. However, if we were to lose KJ Britt and Big Kat, it could put us in a hole. The only Juniors I really see with the potential to go are those two guys.
On the offensive side of the ball outside of the OLine which I believe will have all 5?...yes 5? starters gone we are really really young. Stove an McClain are the only other Juniors and I don't see them bolting and even still even if they did having a huge effect. I have said after game 3 that I think our OLine has the potential to be better in 2020 even after losing the starters. Potential is certainly there for the offense.
With a somewhat more manageable schedule...Wait till next year. But seriously LSU loses Burrow, Tua gone from bama, and Fromm gone from FUGA we better have at least 2 of 3 wins in those games.

Kam Martin is a senior? Time flies...

I couldn't tell you one thing about some of these players' abilities when it comes to making a pro roster. There are so many AU players in the show that I never would have dreamed they'd make it. Having said that, based strictly on performance this year, I think Big Kat and Nick Coe would be making a huge mistake to come out early. Quite frankly my dear, neither of them has done shit this year.
Big Kat unloads well. He's an intimidating looking athlete. He's also yet to get near a quarterback. And I think Coe, who looked like he was going to absolutely dominate, has been hittin' the bong on a regular basis.

If they were paying attention, they see how the draft stocks of DB and MD rose. It would be unadvisable for them to leave!

Don't disagree but we have had guys with less leave early, I was merely stating who were Juniors who had a shot at the show. I definitely don't see Coe as ready or leaving, but I could see Big Kat and KJ testing the water.

Big Kat hasn't really done much this year other than causing the quick throw on the 2nd pick 6 against bammer. I doubt he would leave now unless he hasn't been to class much lately. I really think Coe is gone though. He didn't take being moved inside very well this season and was MIA for most of the middle part. I think he will either try his hand at going pro or enter the transfer seizmometer thingy.

Hopefully Derrick and Marlon are counseling the younger guys on that very experience.

I'm sure they are. You know the old saying, actions speak louder than words.

Had to ask the same question. Undoubtedly he was a RFr that was a 4* recruit. Do not remember that name whatsoever...but then again I am old af
-
That's Mrs. Harris' boy.
He got in a few games in mop up duty. Saw him make some plays against Samford. He's 6'3" 240 and will probably make somebody like Troy a damn good LB.
-
Hurts losing sure tacklers in Dinson, Davis and Thomas. They all improved over time. This is a huge void.
Always good to have returning corners.
Igy played really well against Bama and both Monday and McCreary are solid.
Britt would be the biggest loss should he leave. We have a couple of LBs that are improving but nobody in the middle that will punish backs like he does.
All for a new group of offensive linemen.
Maybe we get a results driven bastard that can make it function for more than a quarter of each game.

The thing that was encouraging was the fact that guys like Dequan Newkirk, Tyrone Truesdell and Coitus Miller were firmly in the rotation on the D-line all season. I thought all those guys came along nicely, especially Newkirk. Saw him at Tiger Walk and that guy is a beast.
Another guy who I will continue to claim as my sleeper of the class because he's going to do great things and I love to act like I know stuff and when he does said great things, I will come back and beat my chest and claim that I know stuff....Derrick Hall. Dude looked 35 years old and slightly Takeo Spikish at Tiger Walk.

Hall got in the FUGA game and made a few plays. I don't think the DL will drop off all that much overall. Don't get me wrong, Brown is a once a decade kind of talent, but Garner always plays 6-8 DL if he has them and that will pay dividends next season.

Agree about the lack of dropoff and Brown. I've had people actually want to compare Fairley but for me it's not even that close. Also going to miss Marlon nearly as much. He has a great future.

True. I must have read it differently.

This is not surprising. He’s made waves every offseason but never gets in the game. I think he was a good ST player.

Sad really. He qualifies for the position of receivers coach /Asst. Head Coach but that spot is already filled.

Fun Fact - Derrick Brown is the 2nd highest rated recruit in the history of Auburn Football per the 247 composite. And def lived up to the hype. Number 1? Byron Cowart. Those two couldn't be more opposites as far as living up to potential and hype.

Cowart is still in the NFL. So he wasn't chopped liver.
He just has a lot of talent and not a lot of work ethic.

To his credit, he said that he misused his time at Auburn and regrets the missed opportunity. Seems to have grown up a bunch after his transfer.

I'm hoping Eli Stove hangs around for his senior season. He and Schwartz were definitely not targeted enough, with 36 and 35 catches respectively. Seth Williams has 55 catches and is rightfully the go to receiver. But Stove was really impressive after the catch this year.
-
Schwartzy might just do the track/Olympics thing they say.
-
Gatewood heading to Kentucky.
I guess Mark Stoops is staying put. I think Gran can do damage with Joey.

Used the right way, the kid could make millions in the NFL. I've seen fast guys play. But I haven't seen any with his hands.

Did Joey G get that waiver or is that still in process? Reason I ask is Kentucky rolls back on the schedule next year and I don't want to get into a VooDoo Tatum situation.

Still in process, most likely will have to sit though

Stove comes back I'm 85% sure, I think he is still dealing with getting over his injury.
