After crushing the spirit of Tyler Trent, the terminally ill Purdue fan by bombing his Boilermakers in the bowl game, Auburn dashed the hopes of six year old Carlos Santos, an Oregon fan with leukemia who traveled all the way from San Diego for the game.

That makes it worthwhile.

I really do feel bad for those kids who go to see their favorite team win and we either curbstomp them or rip it away at the end.
