The school, the recruit or both can change their minds before either of the two National Signing Days.
The state’s consensus top two recruits this year, linebackers Quandarrius Robinson of Jackson-Olin in Birmingham and Demouy Kennedy of Theodore High in Mobile, were both originally committed to Auburn before de-committing and eventually flipping to rival Alabama.
Lanett athlete Kristian Story committed to Tennessee before his junior year. He eventually de-committed and pledged to Alabama last week (https://www.al.com/sports/2019/07/watch-4-star-athlete-kristian-story-reveal-his-commitment-to-alabama.html).
Nothing amiss there at all.
