al.com went all out to unload a massive dump on the head of Saivion Smith who spat in the face of the Mighty Saban and had the audacity to make himself available for the NFL Draft when the Great One refused to give his blessing.
Early Entrant, ex Alabama CB Saivion Smith not picked in NFL Draft

A (https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2019/04/as-three-ex-alabama-players-lost-out-in-the-nfl-draft-nick-saban-won-yet-again.html)s three ex-Alabama players lost out in the NFL Draft, Nick Saban won again

Probably the most crass article I've ever seen. A giant "fuck you" to the kids who decided to try for the NFL without any consideration for the reasons they may have done so.
The part I liked best was where Saban refused to let Smith on the stage with the other players who declared early because he, Lord Saban --First of His Name, Leader of Hillbillies, Breaker of Oaths, The Blasphemer, Spanker of Waddlers, Pepin the Short, Father of Trailertrash -- had not blessed their decision to turn pro.
And then this nugget from Rainer Sabin, the cockholster who wrote this "article"
Together, these three men could prove to be cautionary tales who force future Alabama stars contemplating an early start to their NFL careers to consider Saban’s counsel more carefully before making a choice that could have negative consequences both for the player and the program.
Finally there was this:
Lester Cotton, other undrafted free agents land with NFL teams

There was another article savaging Saivion Smith (never heard of him, honestly) in a headline that I couldn't find. But when it came time to note players that signed with NFL teams, al.com leads with Lester Cotton and buries Smith in the copy.
If you ever needed any proof, this is irrefutable evidence that the organization has morphed into the public relations arm of the Alabama football team.

Here's my favorite little nugget from the first article. He dared defy Lord Saybinz so let's trash the kid. Fuck this clown.
Smith spent one season in Tuscaloosa and will be most remembered for his poor performance in Alabama’s 44-16 loss to Clemson in the national championship game, which was the worst of any defender on the field that night.

Fuck's sake.
What a pantload of a "journalistic" organization.

I'm confused. I thought Juniors declaring early and other kids moving to the transfer portal was a sign of a program in shambles?
Oh wait...that's only when it's Auburn.
