Title: The Portal
Post by: Snaggletiger on February 27, 2019, 09:27:17 PM
Wisconsin 3 year starting QB, Alex Hornibrook, entered the time transport portal.  6'4 219.  He's not the most dynamic QB to ever play but a solid guy.  Should we make a major push for a one year stop gap?  Sure would change the dynamic to have an experienced, quality guy under center.  Just spit balling here.

Eh...I'd rather Gus roll the dice with Malik running the Marshall plays than take his chances with a stone-footed pocket passer.

Hornibrook was worse than turtle Moseley.  Pass.

Did I miss the day when we got to make decisions on who we get from the portal?

Besides Snags just likes him because he has Horni in his name.

I thought it was like one of those lazy susan buffets.  You just reach in there and grab what you want when it passes by.

Like I said, just throwing it out there.  However, the problem I see is that unless Nix comes in and shows the right stuff to start right away, (Huge if) I think we're up excrement creek without a trolling motor at QB.  Not saying Hornynook is the answer.  If Malik Willis is under center when we open against the Ducks, it could be ugly.

It won't surprise me to see the 40 year old Sandberg rise to the top of the heap.

Surely the Ducks wouldn't figure out all 4 plays that easily.

al.com says Nix is our Brodie Croyle.

Chose the wrong team at the wrong time.
