Title: They Swim Among Us
Post by: Snaggletiger on February 27, 2019, 03:04:20 PM
Yesterday, there was a 10 foot, estimated 650-700 pound Great White Shark caught off the pier at Navarre Beach, Fla.  Just a pup.  Obviously, there are much bigger sharks all along the Gulf Coast and Great Whites have been caught many times before in these waters.  Just not all that common and the stigma that Great Whites carry, makes people take notice.  Tagged and released.  Pretty cool, IMO.

It is actually more common than you think.  It’s not unusual for great whites to call Florida waters home during the winter months.

Umm....excuse me.  This is the X.  Actual research and facts have no place in these forums. I sounded very convincing and that's all that matters.

Not that I'd want to come face to face with either, but I think I'd rather see a 10' Great White cruise by than a 6' Bull Shark.  Those bastages gots a bad attitude.  Yo' Sani, you ever have any close encounters on your dives?

All sharks are decedents of Jaws sharks. Those were docu-dramas.

All snakes are copperheaded-moccasin-rattler-cobra-mamba-asps. Deadly, but good eatin'.

Sharks only bite when you touch their private parts.
