This is a prank, but we used to have a girl in the gym I went to years ago that did this on purpose.  When she was in there, our gym was like that scene in Porky's where the whole P.E. class could hear the couple pounding one out.

That was Kim Cattrall (whose character was nicknamed Lassie) taking the old high hard one.
