It's funny to me how our little board here is more active than it's been in quite a while. But the sad thing being the reason for that, which is once again, the sorry state of the foosballz program. I said many times after the 2010 CAMpionship, that ear regardless of whether we had gone 14-0 and won the crystal, or 7-6 and played in the Poulan Weedeater Toilet Bowl, my fat ass would have still been planted in Section 8, Row 44, Seat 10 at 11:00 a.m. that next Fall to watch us open against the Fighting Samoans from Utah State. I just love the AU experience and I'll continue to make as many Saturday treks to the Planes as I can. Although, I have to admit that I said nay nay to a couple this year, because as I get older, the feeling of sweat dripping down my ass crack in 92 degree heat has become less and less appealing. Unless of course, it's because I'm giving an Asian babe the high hard one in the sauna. But I digress.
But why do we continue to be in this situation? It's a never ending cycle with Auburn football. I haven't looked it up, but a few weeks ago, Smokin' Joe told me Auburn has had one instance of back to back 10 win seasons in it's history? Is that true? Under Dye, maybe? Even so, that speaks volumes about our inconsistency over the years. No doubt, we've had our share of highs. In fact the highest of highs. But there are always too many inevitable falls from grace. Have we ever had even a 3 year stretch where we thought this program was really on solid footing? Really looking forward to the future? Such is Auburn football. I've learned to live with some of it.
However, where we are right now is inexcusable. I think it's become painfully obvious that the people who make the administrative decisions at AU concerning this program, are and always have been, living in some alternate universe. I chronicled the head scratching history of coaching hires in another thread and asked WTF could possibly be going through those people's heads to think Terry Bowden, Gene Chizik and Gus Malzahn were somehow qualified to run a program of this magnitude? Each and every one of them were matters of taking a chance. Hoping they would succeed. Zero proven track records and nothing to indicate they had what it takes. And now this?
Gus should have been handed his walking papers after the 5 QB Twirly-Bird game. When a sports writer, Kevin Scrabdisnki, (Whatever happened to him?) likens your game plan to a kindergartener grabbing a handful of Crayolas and scribbling madly on a piece of paper, then Houston, we have a problem. The man is paranoid, a control freak, very limited in his play calling and scheming abilities, talent digresses under his watch and his own coaches are jumping ship for far lesser gigs. On top of that, we've long since established that a 4 loss season is his max effort. But our administration apparently feels it worthy of $49 million dollars. Why do we have to continue to endure this? Greene said Gus will be our coach next season. WHY???? What in the Sam Freaking Hell would make you think that's a good idea? Look around you. Everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs that this mission should be aborted immediately and giving you 1,000 legitimate reasons why, yet you remain on an island, as if deaf to the wishes of those who support you and blind to failures of the one you support.
I've said this many times, and too many times recently. I have zero faith in whoever is ultimately making the decisions. They've proven their lack of abilities in this area time and time again. And to have this proud program on the edge of the cliff, is again, inexcusable.
I need a shot of whiskey and a cigarette. And a jelly donut.

Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Stephen Leath, the Auburn President, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Donahue Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big blue ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, non-negotiating, clueless, unaware, contract fucking, buyout raping, bumbling, smarmy, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

I actually miss the guy's writing. He'd have your blood boiling one day and then saying, "Uh oh, somebody's about to fall up the stairs" the next. He was a little over the top sometimes on trivial issues but I thought his writing was always quality stuff and normally fair to all sides. Now, it just seems like a bunch of no-names taking pot shots.

No. The future is when he'll be able to win...the bright future.

Same for me. He was fair and NEVER cowtowed to the Turds. Called out the Auburn power brokers when applicable (set your clock) and pushed along the UAB program when nobody else bothered.

It’s gonna get corrected and Gus is the man to do it. Just look at the stable of qb talent we have on campus.🤢🤮

You have a point there...
Malik Willis scares DCs across the SEC and NFL.
Ryno Jr...eventhough he hasn't thrown a passing route, in a football game, since Desert Storm, he's hella good.
Bo Nix...well, Bo knows Bo, just so ya know (Championship).
Joey Gatewood, could start for the Green Bay Packers right now...and be the HC.
...we've officially become a basketball school.

If Bo comes in and plays, despite coaching from Malzahn...meaning he doesn't listen to Malzahn and continues to receive coaching from his dad. Auburn will have a chance to be really good again. Kinda like when Cam and Marshall played their game regardless of whatever retarded plays Malzahn drew up.

I just want a QB that will come in, see what play Malzahn wants to run, and says nope...here's what we're running.

Watched a replay of SECCG while picking up food. Alabama's OC makes our play calling look so damn dumb.

Nix could get away with it day one.
First sign of friction he could just tweet that he's considering a transfer, doesn't like the direction that the offense is trending. Malzahn's position is weak and the clock starts ticking.
White didn't have the luxury of being a legacy and Malzahn still had a toe hold.

Random musing for you betters. On his show this morning, Dan Patrick said he was told by a "very reliable source", that there's a really, really, really good chance that Two'er won't be able to play in the bowl against OU. That may be old news. I just haven't seen it. Right now, I think Bama is a 14 point favorite with the over/under at 81.
OU's defense is just not good and if Taovagisil is at full speed, I'd say those two bust through that 81. If he's not able to play, no way that offense can score enough to keep up with Murray & Co.
If you place a bet right now with the line at 14 and over/under at 81, I'm assuming (I don't do the wagers) that you lock in at those numbers?
-
I don't care if its Two or Twoer, they will cover and the total will be over. Bet the farm.

Yes.
I think Bama scores 42ish and OU scores 14ish.
I'm on the under whether Tua plays or not. Actually...maybe moreso if Tua is out.

The kids show promise. Your youngest can count to 12 and the oldest is a fairly skilled gamer.

Sadly, you may be right. The way FUGA was able to move the ball on Bama gives me hope, because the Sooner offense is damn good. Jake Fromm State Farm was 25/39 for 301 yards and 3 TD's. FUGA rolled up 441 total yards and 28 points. Save for a head scratching call by Coach Suck, they probably hit the 35 mark. I think OU can at least match that.
And as is usually the case with my expert predictions, Bama will have them down by 35 at half.

Face it fellas, it's just getting tougher to turn a dollar in the realm of strange afflictions with the streets littered with so many runofthemill freaks these days. I'm afraid it's becoming a thing of the past and it saddens me for all of the stuff you people have to endure.
