Title: New OC to be named on Sunday.......
Post by: The Prowler on October 09, 2008, 07:01:40 AM
Coach Steve Sarkisian OC of USC.  That's coming from multiple sources, so believe it when you see it.  I personally don't.  But, I have been told that Coach Carroll wants Kiffin back, right now, and that CSS has said that if CLK does come back than he's out.  What's y'alls take on that.  CSS is a Spread Guy, that knows how to coach to his team's abilities.

Why would CSS take a huge step backwards?
It's becoming clear that going to au is career suicide. Unless CSS is primised the head coaching position after this year when TT is gone. Even then it may not work. Tubby is very well known for throwing his assistance under the bus.

Not true.  Just the coordinators.  He is very loyal to the core group of assistants, you illiterate frick.

First off I am not sure why the bus undercarriage needs assistance but we will address that some other time....

As a boss, it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure that my employer makes money and is successful.

If I have an employee that is not pulling their weight and I get rid of them to improve the companies profitability am I now a boss who throws his employees "under the bus"?

There is a very fine line between loyalty to your subordinates and loyalty to your company.

Maybe it is just a difference in views but I just don't see an issue with that.  You get the job done or you get gone.

Yea it's tubby's responsibility alright. He just refuses to take responsibilty for his actions.
It is well know he throws people under the bus and does not take responsibility for the situation au has been in and is in now. He has a history of it.
Bottom line, this whole deal was a huge mistake. Firing his O coordinator mid season is proof of that. Not to mention the 104th ranking  in the nation ,what was it called by au fans?  ''the greatest offense to ever hit the field''?
As a boss, he's resopnsible for this whole mess. Like I said before, he's setting up for his buy out.

I don't see how firing the OC is not taking responsibility.  I would say doing nothing is not taking responsibility.

Once again you say it is well known that he throws assistants under the bus but you provide no example.  Obviously CTT believes it was a mistake to some degree because if he didn't then Franklin would still be employed.

As a boss I make mistakes daily in personnel, job planning, resource management and other areas.  If you are not making any mistakes then you are not doing anything and are actually part of the larger problem IMO.

I personally never called this new offense ''the greatest offense to ever hit the field'' but I am sure some did.  I was very excited after the bowl game at what I felt like the possibilities were in this offense though.

Still waiting on examples..........

Still waiting to be told what else happened...........

BLS is like a lot of people.  They just make shit up (or hear it from one or two people), apply it to the majority of a group, throw in up on an internet message board and hope it sticks.

Granted, some people used a great deal of hyperbole in their assessment of Franklin, but to apply it to most of us here is a stretch.  It is analogous to the 1941 championship that his school claims.

BLS don't be a jackass.  Don't pretend like you knew that Franklin was a mistake, because I have talked to many uat fans that thought differently. Sure you can make fun of us now, it was a mistake, you learn from mistakes. He was fired, we move on.  You also mention some situation Auburn was in, what situation is that?  You mean the situation that has us beating your team the past 6 years? Man are you feeling a draft in your glass house?

And only one of those an OC! Let's look at his OCs: Mazzone- fired, Petrino- left for UofL, Nall-demoted, Borges-fired, Franklin-fired

Enjoy the cluster fuck!

Thats cute guys, but I'm not a Bammer and did not bring them up...Just a third party without any blinders or kool-aid drinking...its just blatantly apparent that with the 4 offensive assistant coaches you will never have a consistently good offense

Your logic sucks.

Turnover leads to inconsistency?  Not always.  Simply check our defensive stats and note the constant turnover on that side of the ball.

What?  I said you have the same four assistants, Nall, Gran, Knox, and Ensminger, who are CONSISTENTLY bad.

Touche', Chad.  I was bored sitting here in the library and just wanted to have some fun while I could. But there really is no excuse with the talent you guys have to be this sub-par most years.

Hey now, lay off us Chargers. We don't even have a football team, which is why they sell shirts in the bookstore that say "UAH Football, Still Undefeated".

We kick ass at hockey though.

Not trying to be an ass, just having a little fun. You guys have had plenty at my expense so what's fair is fair. Right now, because of how things have shaken out the way they have, you guys do deserve some shit.
Most of you were so blind since the bowl game against  Clemson that you were driving the fucking Tony Franklin band wagon. Especially here, so some of you are deserving of it and that's the truth. Isn't that what this place is for? It was when it was Bama's problems.
Yea I know the ''we got six wins'' line.   :taunt:

Uhh, are you on the wrong board or something?  Have you met Kaos yet?

Maybe there was optimism about CTF before the first game, but the drop off in support was pretty immediate and drastic between first and second game.  And then after 3-2?  NON-EXISTANT.

Not a lot of band wagoners around here.
