Snaggy say wut? So Sunday, I'm checking out Steelers vs. Bengals. One guy I've quickly become a fan of is TE Vance McDonald for the Steelers. Pittsburgh interchanges two tight ends, McDonald and Jessie James. Both bad asses. The Bengals also hit CJ Uzomah 6 times in that game. But this isn't really about any of those guys. It's about what a weapon a tight end can be and how easily they can be worked into the scheme. It's about why the tight end has been all but completely phased out of Malzahn's offense. With Stidham's troubles, how much easier would it be on him to have a TE that could release 5-6 times for quick, safe throws? This is how easy.

What does this have to do with Gus' inability to coach?

Kind of magnifies it. Amirite?

We have 2 walk-ons at TE. One of them was a walk-on lineman. We have soooooo much talent at the TE position...maybe to much.

Shenker can get downfield and Brown looks to be a pretty fair short yardage type, just need to see more.

I guess my point is that we've had plenty of talent in the past, and this year before Jalen transferred out. It's just that the position has become non-existent at AU. And it doesn't make sense. Gus has had success with tight ends in the past. Think game winning and game changing receptions by Lutzy and Uzomah. Why has his philosophy gone completely away from that position, when virtually every championship team, from college to pro, uses the TE extensively?

Can't understand why any kid would sign with Auburn as a tight end.
Pearl's walk-ons get more p.t.

Then you drink a lot of beer because Vontez is on a mission to destroy.

Steelers aren't my team or anywhere close to it. But their tight ends are bad ass to watch.

Only the long snapper. He loves when they punt.
