Title: 10rCee Week
Post by: The Six on October 10, 2018, 08:50:58 AM
Some stats for your eyeses

Points Per Game
UT
26.0
AUB
28.7
Points Allowed Per Game25.614.3
Total Yards360.0364.2
Yards Passing182.8200.3
Yards Rushing177.2163.8
Yards Allowed340.6323.5
Pass Yards Allowed182.6188.0
Rush Yards Allowed158.0135.5

Looks like we need to run on that Vols unit to control the pace. I'm sure that means we'll throw play-action, pirouet, bubble screens for the first 4 series and hope to kick field goals.

If you need an indictment of how unsuccessful the Auburn offense has been in 2018, look how close we are with Tennessee there.

For the record, Tennessee's games have gone as follows:
West Virginia - LOST 40-14
ETSU - WON 59-3
UTEP - WON 24-0
Florida - LOST 47-21
Georgia - LOST 38-12

So they beat a couple sisters of the poor and got run off the scoreboard in the other games. However, they average 3 yards and some change less than what was a Top 10 team (until we crapped out in Starkville).

I know we are stuck with him, but COME ON, GUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are those numbers cumulative season totals?

Not sure if serious...but per game.

And they look nearly identical until you look at points allowed per game.

Translation: our red zone d is better.

I'm not sure about that.

No.  Wasn’t serious. Making the crack that we only generated 340 yards and 20 total points.  It was an anemic joke.

But still better than the Auburn Offense.

But still. Isn’t it sad our numbers are identical to Tennessee’s at this point in season? Other than Kevin Steele getting the boys to buckle down in the red zone?
