Title: NFL Cranks Up
Post by: Snaggletiger on September 06, 2018, 10:54:29 PM
Falcons at Philly. Great acapella anthem.  No kneeling.  Unbelievably shitty first half.  6-3 Falcons with about 17-18 penalties called between the two. Looks a lot like the first preseason game.

Philly will win as the ATL has Steve Sarkisian calling the plays again.

Commence to talk about how you will never watch another NFL game the rest of your life in 3...2...1...

I actually decided to watch a little at the half.  Made it all the way to Crotchless Cuncklelick's ridiculous Nike commercial and TURNT THAT SHIT OFF.  Fuck that guy. Fuck Nike. Fuck the NFL.

I'll watch Law and Order reruns instead.

I can safely say the refs are in first preseason game form as well.

That game was difficult to watch.  Both teams sucking some pretty sour ass out of the gate.

Agreed.  The penalties made it almost unwatchable.  Both teams were highly undisciplined and the refs were having an extremely bad night as well.

On another note, how weird was it to have this game end in an almost identical fashion as the last game these two played?  Same end zone.  Same last play throw from inside the 10 to the same receiver.  Unfortunately for my Birds...the same result.

Aaaand that's what triggered looks like.
A man who has raised a family, run multiple companies and paid a shitload of taxes (of which you are a suckler) does not get triggered.
He has, however, earned the right to an opinion.

What have you earned?

How does raising a family and running multiple companies earn the right to an opinion on watching the NFL or not? It seems like there would be a lot of people that could have an opinion either way without those qualifications.

Can a single man or woman earn the right to an opinion on Nike and football?

What about someone that has worked for a living but never owned a business? Can they have an opinion?

This is the problem with both sides. This has nothing to do with "earning an opinion" or "being triggered". It has to do with Prowler disagreeing with Kaos stance, and CCTAU disagreeing with Prowler. It's ok to disagree without all the bullshit rhetoric. Holy fuck...

I don't particularly like the ad or the premise behind it. But I watched it, rolled my eyes, and kept watching a shitty football game. Some people like it, some hate it. This is capitalism at work...(funny how the left hates capitalism). If enough people hate the ad and Nike sales are hurt, they will pull it. If not, they will continue to run it. I don't hate nike and I am not buring my clothes for it. If it comes down to buying a new pair of shoes, I will probably go another route because I don't agree, but that should be ok too. No one should be attacked because of their opinion. It's gotten so fucking ridiculous.

A man who has done the things Kaos has done, does not get triggered. If he did, he would never have been successful. And yes, success does allow you to have "earned" an opinion, at least one that matters.
And let's not forget, Kaos is also a single man. So he even fits one of your other categories.

And it is not OK to disagree. We are right. Everyone else is wrong!

The x may have a lot of shortcomings but it is at least very well balanced.
There is yin and yang.

We have kaos and Wes. And it is good reading, with kaos going natural and Wes obviously using a thesaurus.

We also have one moonbat and a grand wizard.

And we have Token but I can’t think of anyone that is really, super skinny.

I still love Cam.

Decided to take a quick peek to see if Carolina is going to be any better.  I'm not really encouraged.

Defense still looks stout as hell.  Will keep the Panthers in most games.

But the offensive line?  Cam will never have the protection to stay completely healthy or have time to make progressions.  It is fun to watch Norv Turner use him in the first drive a lot like Malzahn did in 2010.  Nothing else works?  Hey, go get it Cam.

He's an exceptional talent.

Been in and out watching myself. What I have seen is a pretty stout Dallas Secondary making Cam check down. I will say Cam does have a pretty good white boy behind taking the rock. You are right though, the OL needs to pick it up so Cam can make the deep throw. There has been a few times I've seen him miss s wide open WR because of OL breakdown.

3 of the top O-linemen were questionable to even start the season with both injuries and health issues.  Tonight, they lost another one.  D is stout.  Norv Turner is a definite upgrade from Shoeless.  Can't see them going far except for the fact that the division looks suspect from top to bottom.  The Falcons were abysmal, Carolina scored a grand total of 16 at home and Tampa vs. N.O. was one of the worst NFL displays of defense you could imagine.
