How did we get relegated to the day with Vandy and the lesser Carolina?
Title: Re: SEC Media Days Schedule

Day One Notes:

SEC
- No one wants a 9 game conference schedule (except the Saybinz and he can't have everything, can he?); the 6-1-1 is awesome

LSU
- Ed O. regrets hiring Matt Canada and his "fancy, dancy motion offense" yaw yaw
- LSU is hell bent for leather they can out muscle Alabama

TAMU
- Jimbo the richer says the SEC made the ACC awesome and when he was in the ACC, he ended the SEC title streak because it is part of every new coach's introduction to take a shot at Auburn as soon as possible

Kentucky
- They still pay someone to coach football there?

Day Two Notes
Arkansas
- Dude says his offense fits well with what Bert left behind.

Florida
- Mullen says it wasn't hard leaving Starkville, MS (Ya don't say, Danny Boy?)

Georgia
- Dawgs feel like they are the kings of the world (ignoring the iceberg dead ahead)

Ole Miss
- No one knows who this guy is. No one. And no one cares.

Arkansas -
What offense fits well with a dumpster fire?

Florida -
Ever been to Starkville?  There's really only one road out, so it probably wasn't that hard for him to find.

Georgia -
Same song played on a loop since 1980.  They never get tired of it.

Ole Miss -
Never heard of them.

If he had been left alone to do the job, would it have been as bad? I guess we will find out!

Day Three Notes

Mississippi State
- Head Coach compared Nick Fitzgerald to Trace McSorley at Penn State. Uh huh. Sure.

Missouri
- They have an awesome QB; will still lose 6 or 7 games.

Tennessee
- Apparently Pruitt was not a fan of Mark Richt while at UGA. Neither was most of that fanbase.

Alabama
- Blames the media for making it a quarterback controversy. Aight. Aight. Aight.

Mississippi State
- Nobody's ever heard of either of those people.  Wasn't one of them a judge on Dancing With The Stars?

Missouri
- Take that to the Big 10 Board where it belongs

Tennessee
- Pruitt looks like a shaved penis.  That is all.

Alabama
- It's always somebody else's fault.

Imagine if the SEC Network had a chyron for Nick Saban :Like Little Debbie Cakes with Morning Coffee.
I just can't believe Liverpool is shelling out $87 million for Alisson.  He's way overrated in my opinion.

Day Four Notes

Auburn
- Gus Malzahn likes to eat at Waffle House and doesn't cuss.

South Carolina
 - Will Muschamp hates Georgia as much as any person can.

Vanderbilt
- Derek Mason told everyone to "watch out" for his team. Watch where you step over the bodies, folks.

Quote
Here's how the media picked the divisions to finish in 2018 (first place votes in parenthesis):
[th]SEC WEST[/th]
[th]SEC EAST[/th]
1. Alabama 1,971 (263)1. Georgia 1,977 (271)
2. Auburn 1,664 (19)2. South Carolina (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/SC/south-carolina-gamecocks) 1,535 (8)
3. Mississippi State (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/MISSST/mississippi-state-bulldogs) 1,239 (2)3. Florida (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/FLA/florida-gators) 1,441 (4)
4. Texas A&M 1,0914. Missouri (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/MIZZOU/missouri-tigers) 1,057
5. LSU (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/LSU/lsu-tigers) 1,0255. Kentucky (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/UK/kentucky-wildcats) 874 (1)
6. Ole Miss 5786. Tennessee (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/TENN/tennessee-volunteers) 704 (1)
7. Arkansas (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/ARK/arkansas-razorbacks) 4127. Vanderbilt (https://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/teams/page/VANDY/vanderbilt-commodores) 392
As far as the SEC champion, the media picked Alabama to topple Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Here's the full list of teams that were picked to win the conference.
[th]TEAM[/th]
[th]FIRST-PLACE VOTES[/th]
1. Alabama193
2. Georgia69
3. Auburn14
4. South Carolina4
T5. Florida2
T5. Mississippi State2
7. Missouri1
If you're a history buff, the media has picked the eventual SEC champion correctly just six times in 26 years since the divisional split in 1992. And yes, you did read that correctly. Missouri did get a vote to win the conference title despite not getting one vote to win the SEC East.
