Been to high school graduations on back to back nights this week. Some comments on general behavior.
1) At what point did T-shirt’s, flip flops, backward baseball caps and shorts become appropriate attire for grown men at a graduation?
2) Take your cowbells, confetti cannons, air horns, vuvuzelas, and kazoos and shove them up your ass. While you are in the stands showing your ignorance with all that noise — celebrating little Johnny managing to accomplish what literally 95% of all 18 year olds have done — three other people don’t get to hear their childrens’s name called.
3) if you really have to watch the NBA finals on your iPad, at least have earbuds. And dont shout scoring updates to your buddy in another section. If lebron is really that important to you? Stay home and watch it.
4) We are all proud that your kid has a last name that starts with a G. But sit down and shut up until the rest of the alphabet is called. When you and the 16 members of your entourage pack up and waddle out of the stands as soon as your kid’s name is called you are disrespecting other parents who are obstructed by your fat, loud asses as you tromp down and across everybody’s view.

If WE is the king of backward caps I’m at least an earl or duke or something. I flipped my black and gold Michelob truckers hat backward in 1980. I was a catcher in baseball so backward was natural. You pretty much have to wear it backward when you’re doing photography. Since I first flipped it as an option in 80 I’m as likely to have it on backward as forward.
I got benched for a game in high school because I wore it backward when I filled in at second base. Caught crap from the AD and head coach because I’d flip it when coaching football and softball.
I don’t wear my baseball hat to graduation. I felt underdressed because they talked me out of wearing a tie.

I had always just assumed that you sent your girls to an all white school.
