Mike Mayock (who is a preening schmoe most of the time) offers the following on some of Auburn's offerings in the coming NFL draft:
Kerryon Johnson
Mayock said Johnso...is "just fun to watch."
"He's a little bit long and leggy, sometimes presents a bigger target because of that, but he's so athletic, so tough," Mayock said. "At the running back position I had mentioned seven go in the first three rounds, I've got him as a solid second-round pick."
Braden Smith
"I think he's going to show off both athleticism and strength at the Combine," Mayock said. "I've got him as a second-round guard. I think he needs to be more consistent. I watch one tape I think he's a first=round pick, watch another tape, think he's a third or fourth-round pick. Just needs consistency and I think he'll get that going forward."
Carlton Davis
"He's your prototypical long corner," Mayock said. "He can run, gets a little grabby but I think he's a press corner. Right now, I've got him in the second round."

Sounds reasonable on all 3. I think one that will surprise is Austin Golson. He's the type that next thing you know, he's got a 12 year career going. He's played just about every position except QB. There will be a place for him in the Show. Plus, he's got almost Buzz-like guns. Close, but not quite there. Still impressive, though.
