Post by: Kaos on January 26, 2018, 06:02:35 PM
Hey y’all, Barh Brunt died thirta-fi yar ago tuh day.  We orta onnner thu mayun.

I caught five minutes of Finebaum.  Let this guy ramble. Here are the pertinent facts:

He’s 60.
Bammer fayun all his laaahf.
Never been to a game.
Never been to Tuscaloosa
Once worked at construction site in ‘ham near Legion Field
Spent time a-starin through the locked gates
One day a stadium worker felt bad for him and let him in
Against policy the guy let him touch the goal post whar Bahr had leant
Was the greatest moment of his life

Jeez.

That shit didn't get cured.

K, we seldom agree, but on this issue we remain in solidarity.

Amen and Amen.  Debated with a Bammer the other day who was extolling the many, incredible virtues of the Bahr and how he dominated college football.  He pointed to the oft repeated rumor that Bahr was so good, he would sign dozens of guys the other teams wanted, just so they wouldn't have them.  Later, he went on to say that "The Bahr was so good, he could take yours and coach em' up to beat his".  I asked him:

If he was that good, then why would he need to sign all those players just so other teams wouldn't use them against him?  He could take anybody's players and win...right?

Whu....wait...whutchu' talkin' bout?

The guy after that 60-year old loser told some long rambling story about how his son sent Bahr a letter when he was about ten and a couple-a months later he got him a autograph picture in the mail.

Finebaum rained praise for another five minutes about how that showed what a great man Bryant was.

Well shit.  When I was six I drew a picture of a tiger eating an elephant.  I sent it to Shug.  I got a letter back from the man complimenting my artwork, thanking me for being an Auburn fan and expressing his sincere hope that I'd remain an Auburn man all my life.  That came with a bumper sticker, an autographed photo of Shug and an invitation to visit him in his office if I was ever in Auburn.

That photo is still framed in my office.  My mom has the letter framed somewhere.

Fuck Bryant.

Sounds like you met my father-in-law.  Sorry about that.  Seriously, if I've heard him say the line about "beatin' yours with his, and then taking yours and beatin' his" once, I've heard it one million times.

I don’t know why Bama fans are so obsessed with Bryant’s masturbatory habits or his propensity for sexual assault.

For serious? I saw the man one time in person. At Greenetrack. He was barely upright. Herd of handlers carrying his stumbling, bumbling, mumbling butt out the door. Hardly the deity he’s been made to be.

Well, to be fair, I saw Pat Dye at Legend's one night and he looked to have a double handful of sorority titty and a .25 BAC.
