Rise Up!
Don't care who is watching or not watching the NFL playoffs. I boycotted for about 10 games, then I wanted my football fix. The media is not even talking about protests and I have no clue if they're still going on. My take...the point was made. People quit watching. Far less people attended. Ratings were down. It was time to move on. I did!
Falcons struggled all season, mainly due to the loss of Shanahan and the addition of Sarkisian. Points went from 33 a game to 21. Same personnel. He has sucked. No wonder Bama lost to Clemson. But tonight was masterful against a damn good Rams defense. The Falcons D is pretty decent, especially their DB's. They won the game. Anyway, on to Philly for round 2.
The Chiefs were in total control, up 21-3 at half over the Titans at home. 22-21 Titans. Really? Alex Smith will most definitely be gone, with numerous suitors fighting for his services. The Jets, Cards and Broncos will be the main players.
Again, don't care if you're still boycotting or not. More power to you if you are. I'm watching now and enjoying some damn good football. Tomorrow will be pretty epic as well.

This is a no NFL zone...kneeler!

This is a no NFL zone...kneeler!
Cool. I totally respect that.
-
I’ve watched the NFL all season.
I don’t necessarily agree with the kneeling but I wasn’t letting that stop me watching the Seahawks be complete assholes of the NFL. They stunk it up and was lucky to win as many games as they did.
Now that my hometown Falcons are rolling I’m going dirty bird.
Impressive was the NFC South. Steelers playing for the trophy and hopefully someone will frick the Patriots.

I like the way you think. Birds ain't going to get it done this year but it's so nice to have a team that can compete and beat anybody's ass on a given day. If the Steelers and Pats meet up, that's going to be the Super Bowl. I'll be watching that one regardless.

Blasphemy!
-
The cheatin SaintsBammers advance. Blech
-
I want Pats/Saints Super Bowl.
I don't really care who wins, but I love those two QBs. Just masterful at their position and it would be fun to watch. We could witness two of the greatest ever to play go head to head. Would be awesome.

As much as I'd hate that match up (Saints :puke:) you're spot on with the QB's.

Who dat.

I don't much care for the Saints but can't help but admire Drew Brees. Seems like a good guy, hard worker, a real competitor. He's not the biggest guy, doesn't have any sort of physical advantage, isn't the fastest and hasn't always had a great supporting cast (Mark Ingram... really?). His receivers aren't usually top shelf. He puts his team in a good place most of the time.
Brady is good, but I've always felt like the players around him are much better than the tools Brees has to work with.
There's nobody left for me to be "for" in the playoffs. Saints and Falcons are essentially Bama and UGA. Football season is over for me.

Agree with everything but this. The Pats pretty much take in anyone and make them stars with Brady. Players have tried to leave to get paid, and haven't done shit.

I hate Brady and Belichick but this is troof. No way are any of the Pat's players better than what Brees has had except for maybe Gronk.

Randy Moss?
You’re probably right. It just seems the Pats get players at their peaks. Maybe they make it so.

If I remember correctly, the couple of years leading up to Moss in the Pats were not great. And then the Pats turned him in to a "team player".

Just looked it up:
3 years prior to Pats:
49 for 767
60 for 1000
42 for 553
Pats first 3:
98 for 1493
69 for 1008
83 for 1264

Fall down. Dirty Birds are dead birds. If you go on the road and only score 10 points and let Nick Folds beat you with 15, you deserve it. Please, please, please let Sarkisian be a one year experiment. They went from being the highest scoring team in the NFL to just over 20 points a game, with the exact same weapons. Oh well, got a another game on tonight. Steaks are on the grill.

Hard to score on your knees!
Unless you are a whore!

I take it you are referring to the raping of Julio Jones by Jalen Mills on the play that made or broke each team's season? I didn't say anything in my original post but I would have to say that the ref(s) who ignored that were either, A.) Completely incompetent, or..B.) Betting on the game. And when you saw the replay of it going off Jones' hands, you also saw a second receiver tackled and on the ground just to his right.
I know nobody is going to give a shit about the Falcons and especially not Julio Jones. But this was a travesty. 4th and goal from the 2 with a minute to go. Ryan rolled right while Julio, lined up wide right, attempted to run a 3 step and out. Defender, Jalen Mills, grabbed him as he made his cut and tackled him, then rode him like a horse as he tried to get up. Primary receiver. Both teams season on the line with one play. Refs ignored it.
But hey, the Falcons had the entire game to score more than 10 points. Still deserved to lose.

I was at a restaurant/bar and every TV in the place was on the Patriot annihilation of the Titans so I couldn't help but watch it.
Everybody in the country knows Brady is going to throw it to Gronkowski. And still, somehow, he's standing there essentially alone on a sit down route or waddling essentially alone over the middle. And Brady kills them (and everybody else) with those eight to fifteen yard throws. I know Rob G was a good athlete coming out but there's no way he's THAT good.
Or maybe he is that good. I remember years ago wondering why Jerry Rice always seemed to be open.
It mystifies me.
It still makes me wonder why AU can't get the TE more involved. Why we can't develop shorter and intermediate routes that utilize the boundaries and middle of the field. I like the three-step drop with shorter route options. Seemed like we finally did that some against UGA the first time.
I watched New England methodically take Tennessee apart like that. Seen it time after time after time, too.

Well at least now I don't have to hear about the falcons and the dogs relentlessly!

Oh, I plan to remind both how furiously and gloriously they CHOKED when it mattered most. Also, Saints can suck blue whale’s grandfather.
-
Mother Fucker.
-
I don't believe what I just saw.

All the falcons fans can Rise Up and eat a dick just like their team did.

Yes. He is that good. Dude is 6'6" 265 and is athletic as a 6'2" WR. He is a matchup night mare so he is always open. If he is inside, he has a LB or Safety on him, and he can run past them. If they line him up outside, you really can't put a S or LB on him because you are dead, but if you put a smaller corner on him, he can go up and get the ball. Dude is a monster.
-
Tom Brady
Case Kenuum
Nick Foles
Blake Bortles
Seriously. Those are the qbs in the conference championship games.

The absolute truth on the guy. A staff can have everything else figured out, EXCEPT Gronk.
