How is it possible for people to attend every Auburn home game?
When I was in school, I couldn't help but wonder how the same people could make it to Auburn football games every Saturday. It's expensive, it requires not working on Saturday, and you need tickets.
I understand that some people fork out a few grand for season tickets, but what jobs are out there that pay enough to afford tickets AND give you Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday off?
Anybody know?

I can think of one.

Name it.
I will seriously change careers to enjoy AU football every Saturday....well, maybe.

As one of my loves and passions, I budget my money and time to be able to be at every home game. I work as an independent sales broker, strictly on commission; a risky proposition for some but I prefer to get paid for my own efforts. If I can sell more than the next guy, I get paid more than the next guy. I do well, but by no means do I have Bill Gates type money. I have had season tickets since the day i graduated and will have them as long as I can get my ass in the car to get to the games.
It is so important to me that when I married my new wife we agreed to put together a non formal pre-nup of things we expected from each other that would not change once we got married. Number 1 on the list was that she would continue to let me pursue my passion of AU football, number 2 was that she never quits giving blow jobs. in other words it is a matter of priorities.

I'm not a lawyer, but there seems to be a bit of a loophole that you may want to close on that one

I work in the Risk Management field. I have a territory that consists of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, the Florida Panhandle, and Colorado. I pretty much set my own hours and do my job the way I want. Sure I have a boss, but thankfully he is very hands-off and trusts me to get my job done. I, too, have had season tickets since I graduated in 2002. I've only had one job that I had to work on Saturdays (Branch Manager at Regions) and that was only one Saturday a month, so I could schedule around Auburn's home schedule.
Now I admit this will be my first game this year, but that is more out of laziness than anything. With the great home schedule I didn't feel the need to make it to some of the smaller games, and I let others have my tickets.
I don't know what you do for a living, but life is too short to be stuck behind a desk. There are plenty of jobs out there, you just have to look around and keep your options open.

I'm rich and I basically go whenever the hell I want to.
I always wanted to say that. Not true, but fun saying it.

Stuck behind a desk? Not even close. I'm a teacher. So I get Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays off, but frequent trips to AU along with buying tickets gashes my paycheck.

I am also a teacher...of course I also coach high school football so my friday nights are taken too. Luckily I still live in Auburn so I can still go to all the games on Saturdays. I just can't travel to all the away games like I used to when I was a student.

My ticket whore fell through for this game. It was supposed to be the guys and their sons. But as soon as his wife found out it was suite tickets, she started inviting other wives. So guys and kids got left behind for snooty wives club. And she's not even an AU fan.

Well...it does kind of serve you right...you know...with this little comment and all...
These are all sad situations for those involved. I think at 2 minutes before half time of the LSU game I should look down from the suite I'll be in and think about you guys. You guys just look up at the same time and you'll know you have a connection on high........
HAHAHAHA :fu:
Just saying.............
