Auburn students were reminded to show good sportsmanship and not boo the home team in a message sent out today by the dean of students.
Dean Johnny Green urged students to support the ninth-ranked Tigers in their nationally televised game against No. 6 LSU Saturday. "That means no booing!" he wrote in bold letters.

BTW, it's the screaming read headline story on al.com

until the university starts paying tuition, books, food, tickets, computers, and whatever else i say boo or cheer all you want. i never had much to boo at since i was there '92 through '95 but i would have done so.

He's senile.
Seriously, WHY WOULD YOU E-MAIL THAT? For one, it makes it look like he's expecting Auburn students to boo. That says we're a booing fan base. We booed one time - it was really bad, mind you - but it was only once.
Two, the media is constantly looking for ways to smear the AU program. Think before you speak, or in this jackass' case, e-mail.
-
The Dean just made Auburn look like it's little sister.......uat. He probably sent it out, not thinking that someone would post it on the web in a flaming manner.

While I agree with him and the intent was good, the idea to widely distribute such a message was not thought out too well. Firing him may be overkill, but he a nice hard slap to the back of the head should suffice.

Meh. I'm in a firing mood.
AU alums? Please let the president know how disappointed you are in this guy's action. I'm sure coach Tuberville is as pleased as we are.

Wow. What a douchebag. If I have to pay an outlandish amount to get from my house into the stadium only to watch the starting quarterback embarrass the entire team, then I will boo whenever the fuck I want. This isn't the goddamn mountain west. We have a little bit higher expectations here.

And the reason they don't boo in the Mountain West is because no one attends their games.

Mr. Burns: Smithers, are they boo-ing me?
Smithers: Uh...no. They're saying boo-URNS, boo-URNS!
Mr. Burns: (To the crowd) Excuse me, are you saying BOO or BOOURNS?
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Hans Moleman: (to himself) I was saying boo-urns.
