We've faced maybe the best team in college football and 2 cream puffs. 2-1 so far. An early look at offensive stats.
Jarrett Stidham:
59-85 628 yards. 2 TD 2 INT. 69.4% 134.5 QB rating (Sacked 153 times in one game)
Kam Pettway:
56 attempts for 202 yards. 3 TD. 3.6 yds per carry
Kam Martin:
136 yards with a 9.7 yds per carry and 1 TD
Kerryon Johnson:
136 yards with an 8.5 yds per carry and 1 TD
Receiving. Will Hastings:
9 catches for 151 yrds. 16.8 yds per catch and 1 TD
Ryan Davis:
19 catches for 123 yrds. 6.5 yds per catch and 1 TD
***My prediction was Hastings with 60-70 catches on the year. May hold up but 19 for Ryan Davis??? Wow.***
The RB's have 7 total catches in 3 games, 5 of which came this past Saturday. Supposed to be a staple of "Lindsey's" offenses.
My thoughts: Pettway being run into the ground, injured and a 3.6 yds per carry average. Fuck sake, switch it up and put some speed in there. Hopefully Saturday was the start of getting it to the backs more in the passing game. I knew Ryan Davis was getting his touches but had no clue he had 19 catches. The 6.5 yds per catch says he's the perfect quick route, underneath guy.
Anything stand out so far?

Want to see Craig-Meyers and Canella short to intermediate while alternating some passes to our backs.
This should open up a couple of reverses from our speedy yet equally under-utilized slot guys.
We have weapons. Get 'em involved.
The fool once had some imagination and mixed it up, sometimes even screwing up our momentum but he's never been this predictable.

Have you quit drinking? Because this makes perfect sense.

We've just got to stop that inside trap.

No sir.
But unlike Malzahn I am adaptable to time and circumstance...trading Saturdays for Thursdays. It's a better fit and I'm just putting myself in a good position to make better posts in order to be successful.

Plus, you don't want to be dismissed.

32-37 is good in shorts and shoulder pads with no defense. Not sure why there is not more talk about this.
On the Malzahn play calling front, WE THREW THE BALL 37 TIMES. When was the last time we did that?
-
Serious answer?
Canella and Hastings more involved in amendola/patriots type passing situations. They know how to get open in space in middle of field. Sorry but the other big time 5 star receivers look like they don't give a shit out there half the time.

I said this several times throughout the game Saturday!

Does the "Serious Answer" mean that you are only willing to accept verified information?
Do you realize what that will do to this place?

Hey ....you try running long every play. It gets tiring.

As opposed to a snarky depressing unrelated rant on Gus again. Snags don't perciate his threads being derailed. He will cut a bitch. Then that bitch will call Emma. A vicious cycle.....

I don't mind playing by the rules. It does get a bit ridiculous at everything Gus gets the blame for. Stops us from discussing real solutions.
But, don't care what Snags wants. At all.

I care and you don't.

I think what you say looks true but it may be the nature of the longer routes. We need to get those taller guys some 50/50's down the side. Some back shoulder throws too. Passes that don't require so much time for Stidham.

Did you see the INT Saturday?
And you want some 50/50 throws!

I'm hoping what we saw Saturday moves us more in that direction. Hitting the number of short passes we did should buy some time for Stidham. If the D thinks they have something else to defend other than the dive play and 25 yard pass patterns, they can't just pin their ears back and bring the heat every play.

Go hide the sausage with Snags.

The multi-millionaire will soon have two built-in excuses after he finishes off Pettway.

Look, we are trying to inject more positive thinking around here, dammit.
