Title: Officially Out

Fuck Gus.

I've seen enough.

With K.

Fuck this mess. Nothing's changed. And it won't. Doesn't take much to see that.

We will lose to LSU. Georgia. Ole Miss. State. Alabama.

Arkansas and A&M suck worse than we do.

Jesus fuck.  Stidham is as bad as Jeremy Johnson.

I guess not naming the starting LT until what seemed like warm ups of the first game and then it being a guy who has only been playing for 2 years, should've been an indicator.

This o line isn't as good as we're accustomed, this QB isn't the second coming of Cam and this play calling looked like the twirley bird may need to be reintroduced. This offense was not imaginative but the o line made me just as angry as the play calling.

But I have been missing this d for a looooong time. We are almost where we can be.

Yup. Tired of seeing the same shit plays. It doesn't help that the online wasn't getting any push and that Clemson could rush 2 and still get pressure on pass plays...double covering everyone. When one receiver is finally open, Clemson is in the backfield playing Whack-A-Mole.

For all of you yammering about "playing vanilla" and "sandbagging?"

This is all we fucking have.  A shitty bag of vanilla sand.

This is a new low of any malzahn coached team or offense at auburn. 117 yards. Total.

https://mobile.twitter.com/bmarcello/status/906706573241802752

Also:

@JFergusonAU: Auburn averaged 1.8 yards per play against Clemson. It hasn't had a game with fewer than 3.0 yards per play in the last 10 years.

The bad is getting worse.

I'm sure he will tell everyone at the presser that we will get better. And get back to work. And a bunch of other bullshit that will mean nothing. K was right last week. Nothing will change. Not with this guy.

I walked from my recliner to the bathroom to take a piss halfway through the 3rd quarter and outgained our offense.
Title: Re: Officially Out

I keep telling myself it could be worse.  We could have Stumblin' Sumlin or the Reverend Hugh or Charlie Strong or that moron Butch Jones or Fatass Bileman.

But then I don't know.

Even with those clowns, I never saw the level of sheer futility I continually see with our (allegedly) talented roster.  I wrote this somewhere, but something in Gus broke when the snap was fumbled against Texas A&M in 2014.  Our offense has, with the exception of a short burst last year, declined to monkey fucking a football level.  Whatever happened on that play, Gus has never recovered.

It infuriates me to waste a fantastic defensive performance with that rancid shit I saw on the field tonight.

I really like Daniel Carson and his whole family -- except for his asshole grandfather.  But I don't ever want to see a fucking field goal again.  Ever.  Fuck a fucking field fucking goal.

I'm tired of watching limp-dick clusterfuck quarterbacks.  Every game I watched today featured a quarterback on both teams that was far superior to Stidham.  I saw a skinny ass freshman for LSU come out and make decisive throws.  That's on Gus and his staff.  Under Bowden, under Tuberville, under Dye.. we've never had quarterback play as hesitant and unprepared as we've seen from Jeremy Johnson, Kodi Burns, Turtle Moseley, Kahlilia Frazier, etc. etc. etc.  It's awful.

How many fucking eggs do we have to watch a Gus offense lay before we figure out that he's a fucking hen?

Could we end up in the Tennessee black hole and suck for decades if we make a change?  I guess so.  But I know what we've got now.  Can't abide it any longer.

I'd love for him to be successful. I kept hoping he would. He's just not going to be. He's going to talk the same shit, trot out the same fucked up offenses, keep trying to figure out if he should be a CEO or a hands-on coach, and stumble fuck around to four or five losses a year.  We're going to fall behind Alabama, LSU, Georgia as we slide to becoming Mississippi State.

You don't hire a guy to run Microsoft because he wrote a couple of good programs and then was in charge of Benny's Computer Shack for a year.  If you do, you're not Microsoft.

Bet nobody else holds Clemson to 14

Bet nobody else (legit) gets held under 120 yards or gets sacked a dozen or more times by them either.

All you're telling me is we (yet again) wasted a superior defensive effort with a squalid offense.

The announcers were lamenting the lack of any apparent scheme with the receivers.  It was "everybody go out."  No intermediate routes.  Nothing across the middle.  No check downs.

It didn't help that Stidham did about as much reading as Stevie Wonder.  I've made fun of Jalen Hurts for looking and one guy and taking off if that throw wasn't there.  I wish Stidham would look at one before he runs FUCKING BACKWARDS.  Jesus.  If it's not there, get out of the box and throw the fucking ball into the stands.  Ninth graders know that concept.  I saw a ninth grade quarterback do it Friday night in his first ever varsity series.

I'm frustrated beyond words.

I just don't know if I'm willing to invest any more of my time or energy in a Gus-led Auburn football program or a Jacobs-led Auburn athletic department.   I love Auburn.  I always have.  I always will.  I just can't watch this shit.

When I'm throwing the football in the front yard with my kid, and I tell him to buttonhook at the garbage can, I'm showing more offensive gameplanning than the shit I saw tonight.

Maybe we should get a trashcan like Tennessee so they'd know where to run?

As simplistic and mundane as this post was, this completely sums it all up. Gus Malzahn has no business being a D1 Coach.

I defended him as long as I could but ironically, it was the Clemson game last year when I walked out of JHS laughing at what a clown this guy is.  He and Jacobs need to be run out of town NOW!!!!  Pull an LSU from last year.  Sever the ties now.  Don't wait.  This team is immensely talented and wasting what they have is just tragic. What a waste of time and money...millions.

@JFergusonAU: Auburn averaged 0.95 yards per play after the first quarter vs. Clemson.

@bmarcello: And 0.52 yards per play in the second half.

@bmarcello: Auburn's offense: 15 yards in the second half against Clemson.

15. Let that sink in.

Malzahn as overmatched for a big game as our offensive tackles.
Play action offense my ass. The outcome was apparent before the end of the first half, and no White available for the middle of the third quarter when Stidham was busy assuming his position.

Something else that I noticed last night was him on the sidelines about to lose his mind screaming "run the play, run the play, run the play" into his headset.  I think he knows what he wants to do but isn't on the same page with his QBs or OC.  It seemed to me like Stidham wants to read the defense before he just lines up and throws it, but Gus wants him to snap and go immediately.  Whatever the case, that defense was way too damn good to lose that game.

Only the second time in last 21 years Auburn has been held under 150 total yards.

11 sacks.

I could do this all day......

The guy just can't become a better head coach over time as some suggest. These horrendous displays of offense aren't growing pains, this is arrested development.
This sonuvabitch is too headstrong to make gametime decisions or necessary adjustments to compete on a high level. We've been very patient with this man while he wastes talent and underachieves.
And all I can see now is a paranoid, excuse making high school coach that's finished.

That's something you can only do after a few starts under your belt. Give him time to be coached up, first.

Quote
Johnson, who understands all too well how quickly a fan base can turn on you, took to Instagram on Sunday to offer some encouragement for Stidham.

"Everybody ready to panic cause auburn lost 1 game it's the beginning of the season and y'all ready to point fingers!!!" Johnson posted to his account with an accompanying photo of Stidham. "They will be just fine football is a team sport!! Y'all try to put the blame on one player like he can block for his self run and catch for his self!!! The man haven't played football in years!!! It's a new team new starters it's a long season! And y'all have nothing else better to do but blame 20 year old kid who sacrifice his body everyday to be great! @jarrett_stidham8 @jarrett_stidham8 keep going kid you'll be just fine like I told you!! The O line will get better you got 2 inexperienced players on the same side they will get better it wasn't they fault!!! It's everybody fault that be on the field!! It's frustrating cause I know how hard we work in the offseason the strength staff is amazing and these kids put they heart and soul into this but keep wondering why it keep repeating his self it's like we never get rewarded for our hard work."

Whoever wrote that and or Jeremy need to realize the fan base is not mad with any one player or team. They are angry at two leaders who are supposed to be in charge and act like....leaders but instead are as inept as it gets. Anyone else would be fired already for that type of job performance.
