Title: Pre-Dick-Shuns Week B
Post by: Snaggletiger on September 07, 2017, 10:23:05 AM
Georgia @ Notre Dame

Not a Golden Homo's fan.  Never have been and never will be....after Saturday.  I despise everything about the Georgia program and their pathetic excuse for a fan base.  I hope Irma takes a weird turn never seen before, picks up even more strength and doesn't stop until Athens is buried under a 3 mile high pile of rubble.  Eason is our indefinitely, which might be a good thing for the hairy bitches.  I don't know anything about ND.  This pre-dick-shun is on wishful thinking only.

Luck O' the Irish: 33

Ball Lickers:  20

Oklahoma @ tOSU

I have about as much love for tOSU as I do Notre Dame.  Pretty much same thing goes for OU and Faker Mayfield.  I have to admit that Mayfield convinced me he can be a pretty damn good QB in the Sugar Bowl, or at least somebody we can't tackle.  But I have to believe the Fuckeyes have too many athletes and playing at home, they'll have a distinct advantage.

Burrbinz Boys:  27

Lincoln's Losers: 21

Auburn @ Clemson

Very simply put, if we straighten out the pass blocking dealio, this one could be a classic.  I know Deshaun be gone, but they didn't win the MNC with one guy. Clemson has built a talented bunch and this may be the best D-Line we face all year.  I think we put it together and pull this one out late.

Good Guys:  28

Auburn With A Lake:  27

Saban's Mini-Me - 24
Video towers of death - 13
- Dawgs have better defense

Urban's New Heart Problems - 34
Southwestern Ass Vapors - 27
- Even without the downfield threat, the OSU has playmakers and the defense is stout. Chokelahoma can kick rocks.

Dabo's Crack Tigers - 20
Gus's Bullshit - 16
- I'm open to Malz winning be back but I won't believe anything is different until I see it.

I really believe this is the week we see if Gus kept his word and is letting Lindsey run his offense or he can't stay the hell out of it.  I said in the other thread that I normally don't believe in teams sandbagging in order to not show future opponents what they have.  But this past Saturday was indeed "sandbagging".  They basically ran one running play between the tackles the entire night.  They only tried to stretch the field once and if you recall, Lindsey is huge on throwing to his backs.  We saw none of that.  And while Hastings caught a few balls Saturday, they have made it a point to constantly feed him all through the Spring, through practices and the scrimmage a few weeks ago.

If Gus has his hands on the offense, we get run out of the stadium.  If it's Lindsey's show and we run what they've been running since he got here, this is going to be a wild one.

Kept his word? What is this leave it to beaver? No one keeps their word anymore.

I guess we can spit shake on it next and hang out in the tree house.

Not about that for me. I think this job is too much for him and he's flailing at it while becoming more and more insulated. In his corner is a staff recruiting good talent which is enough to make a bowl game as long as they don't completely turn into full retards out there. Against him is inability to beat LSU, Georgia, and Texas A&M consistently. Beating Alabama right now can't be the measuring stick so I'm not holding that up to him. I'm just tired of being told it was a good week full of good effort and we have a good plan when none of that is evident on the field.

Not sure why some of you guys think this is going to be high scoring. If I was a bettin' man, I'd take the under.

Tigers - 17
Tigers - 13

Very good summary.

Agree.

I want the Gus I saw in 2010. And even the one I saw at Tulsa. The one that turned marshall and Mason loose in 2013 with the read option. Gus is a shell of what he was. Something changed in 2014 in the 4th quarter of the A&M game. He got scared. And hasn't been right since other than a few times where his back has been to the wall (bama 14) or the game was personal (arky last year). He's got to get out of this funk or it won't end pretty. The ptb and fan base will only put up with so many 8 win seasons and losses to georgia.

Inclined to agree here. The front 4s for both teams are superb.

I think we can expect 8 wins unless we can win this one.

We can beat Clemson if we don't get beaten deep and I'm thinking the Georgia Southern prep might pay off more in this game as far as containing Bryant is concerned.

Conversely I think we have to stay balanced and hope our receivers can make plays.
Haven't seen this yet other than what we saw from Hastings last week so how could we know much?
I certainly hope we were sandbagging.

I'm pretty confident that our defense will keep Clemson stymied, so the only real question (vis a vis the o/u) is how productive our offense can be.

With Pettway back to deliver the body blows and occupy the Clemson front 7, I like our chances to work the play action.  No throws to NCM last week?  Sheeeeeit.  He's gonna get fed.  Kyle Davis working the other side will either open up the middle for slants (to the flowing locks of Canella) or allow Cox/Pettway to do work between the tackles.

Hate losing KJ for this one, but Kam Martin looks capable of filling the change-of-pace speed role.

As long as JS stays upright and minimizes his mistakes (or the OL doesn't OLE!), I think we put 21+ on 'em.  That's enough for a W in faux Death Valley.

I hope you are correct because I think Clemson and the Turds are the best two teams again overall.

Sadly you are not coaching.  Play action?  What's that?

Well. I have seen Stidham stab the ball in the direction of the RB before a few passes!

Is that the play where I take the football downfield and act like I'm lost?

Shut your damned mouth.  That play, run with amazing precision by Chris Todd, is pretty fucking great when well executed.

I don't hate the wraparound draw.  I've seen it work well enough.

I went back and looked at some of last week's game.  The OL wasn't as good as I wanted it, but several of the hurries and the sack-fumble in particular were the result of Kerryon Johnson whiffing on who he was supposed to pick up.

What coach was it who kept holding running backs out because they didn't know or fulfill their blocking schemes?  Was that Tuberville and Kenny Irons?

Right.
So if Pettway gets his blocking assignments, Tega his and Stidham lets it loose we have a fighting chance.
The so called experts though all pick Climpsum.

If we can catch Clemson off guard by hitting them with a couple of whirly birds right off the bat, we stand a great chance!

Seriously though, it's going to be a slobber knocker - low scoring and hard hitting. I say 20-17 Auburn.
