Starter.
And WE!!!, Nook and Jumbo rejoice!

i told you my skreets have SW as not being fully healed yet. It should come out slowly.
So much so that we will start to hear more from Willis. I hate it for SW, but he needs to heal so we have a 1-2 punch at QB. Sadly, we may be at the point where we have a true freshman as the backup. And that sucks.
As long as Stidham handles the pressure and stays healthy, I think we are good to go!

Bullshit. Anyone who has been watching practice has noticed it.

Look, you nor GF have any skreets. At least, not any paved ones.
Ones who are actually inside the program, namely me--WT, not only knew that it was Stidham weeks ago, we also knew it has little to do with injury. Just enough, already.

My skreets say Stidham all the way.

I'd have been happy with either, but I think taking a high-profile transfer kind of boxes you in. You had to promise the kid PT or risk losing him. Same with to JUCO kids.
Roster management and/or incoming player expectations seems to be the biggest struggle Gus has. It seems to be the only way to explain the endless rotation on the offensive side of the ball. He appears to react (from a PT perspective) to player grumbling rather than setting expectations and being the HC.
That's what it's looked like anyway. Maybe having Rhett out of the picture will resolve the problem.

There are mitigating circumstances around the release of any medical information. Not to mention, SW does not admit to to the extent of his injuries or pain. We have seen that from him before.
Give it some time. The information will come out.

FAKE NEWS!!!!!

Well from what my sources are saying, Stidham will be named the starter sooner than later.

It WAS gonna happen later. But they did it SOONER.

I'm not sure I can trust those sources, still looks like Tyler Queen is in the mix with a good shot at third string.

Stidham plays for Auburn, not Oklahoma.

I don't get the part about managing your rooster but whatever.

Btw, my skreets told me that Stidham was going to be the starter when he signed on the dotted line.

Well, I was wrong. Sorry, Sean. This is what life is. People will let you break yourself for them only to move on to something else.

MRIs are fake news.

I still think injury will give us a chance to see both and probably quite a bit of Willis.
We probably don't get Stidham if Malzahn doesn't let White play injured. On the other hand...what were the choices?
Don't say it!

MRIs are fake news.
His dad doesn't know anything either. We should remove this from the site, because he may read it and become alarmed.

I have no idea if White is injured or not healing or whatever the case may be. He looked just fine Saturday throwing the ball. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if someone who broke his arm in January wasn't 100% by August as far as throwing a football on a rope 30 yards downfield. But he did it pretty well a couple of days ago.
As for Stidham, look, this guy has a golden arm. Never seen a purtier pass thrown at Auburn. He's got it all as far as making all the throws. But as I said in the scrimmage thread, there were several times he wasn't all that and a bag of Golden Flake. One interception was dropped and there were several throws he should never have made. I think a lot of people have this image of him being the Brady of college football. I hope we're that lucky. The more likely scenario is Clemson is going to show him some shit he's never seen and we're going to be sitting there going, "Come on Jarrett, do some of that Golden Boy shit. This isn't funny". Bottom line is the SEC and Clemson are a huge step up from the Big 12.
Hope Sean is okay. I trust GF's skreets with regard to that. Now his skreets on the hookers and blow? Not so much. I have one more round of antibiotics and....wait....I mean....I think White is fine. At the end of the day, with Stidham, White and Willis (I'm telling you, he looked good Saturday) on our depth chart, I ain't worried about the QB situation in the least. Been a couple of years since we could say that.
-
It's okay to throw three picks in practice.
It's practice!
Now if we come out and throw three against Clemson then we might have some worries.
But all indications are that we still run it and spray it around to move the sticks as the situation presents itself. And the greats ALL throw as many as 4 every blue moon, even Brady. Will even go as far and say our starter throws 8-10 picks during the season. And I'm good with that. Anything less would surprise me.
Still with Legatron and a defense that is prepared we likely overcome miscues other lesser talented team's can't.

If Pettway and Carry-on are hitting on, atleast, 3/4 cylinders, "Golden Boy" will shine.

Willis (I'm telling you, he looked good Saturday)
I was so impressed after his A-Day performance that I (half-jokingly) suggested that he should be 2nd string at that point.
I keep reading comparisons of Willis to Nick Marshall. That's preposterous. I mean, it's an honor for the kid, but they don't look anything alike with the football in their hands. If you watched him move, throw and run then you know Malik Willis is the second coming of Dameyune Craig. Honestly.
I finally love where our QB depth is. Talent abounds and if Chip (with some guidance from Gorgeous Al Borges) can show success with one, then others are bound to follow.

I really like Willis and I trust Borges, even just as some guidance, more than I ended up trusting Lashlee. It has been a while, but I really like where we are at QB.
The only position that I'm worried about is at Left Tackle (the second most important position, behind the Long Snapper of course).
Even with that, I still feel really good about this team, I haven't felt this way since '10 & '04.
