This one makes me reflect a bit more. I lost a good friend back in May. He and I deployed many times together between 9/11 and my retirement in 2007. His passing took a good bit of the wind out of my sail.

I heard somebody today say something that really worked on me. 

We're Americans.  We don't fight because we hate what's in front of us, we fight because we love what's behind us. 

That's pretty powerful.
