ESPN announces a move away from political commentary. Does so by firing one of its few conservative voices.

African-American Female at that. But you won't see Jesse or Al Sharpton picketing Bristol.
Suck it, ESPN.

Clay has beaten this drum for a long time. I once thought it was his way of hitting back for being rejected by ESPN brass. Maybe it still is. I have a hard time following his logic completely here though. Seems like a well-written case of false equivalency.

NYT acts like an asshole.

This has been a hot topic on much of the sports talk shows today and much of what I've heard has called the Times out on it. However, I have to say it's rare to see this type of response. At least have to give a smidge of credit.
copy-pasta'd from www.shitIforgotwhereIpincheditfrom
By midmorning Thursday, Jason Stallman, the Times’ sports editor, had taken responsibility for the tweet in an email to The Post. “Bad tweet by me. Terrible tweet. I wish I could say it’s complicated, but no, this one is pretty straightforward: I’m an idiot. It was my idea, it was my execution, it was my blunder. I made a decision in about four minutes that clearly warranted much more time.
“Once we learned more, we tried to fix everything as much as possible as swiftly as possible and as transparently as possible. Of course, at that point the damage was done. I just needed to own it.â€

I hear ya' playa. But seriously, he can't be anymore up front about...."Damn, this is embarrassing." That kind of mea culpa just doesn't happen everyday.

Problem is it doesn't matter. The damage was done. The incorrect tweet will reach thousands more than the apology. And he got it wrong slanting left, so there will be no one calling for his job or making him be accountable the next time.

19 killed dozens injured after a terrorist bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in England.
What's MSNBC doing?
1) Blaming Trump for "inflaming the rhetoric"
2) Ignoring the story, blasting Trump and jerking off over "investigations"

You ignorant slut.
I was curious how MSNBC would play it. I was watching the broadcast. Listening to Brian Williams. Hearing him bemoan the fact that the terrorist attack was taking attention away from "earthshattering" news about Trump.
So shove your link up the linkmeister's ass.
-
I like to watch Fox and CNN to get different perspectives and last night was no different. I had to chuckle last night as all this was coming down when watching CNN's Don Lemon. His first question to a guy he had on from England was, "The police say they are investigating this as a terrorist attack, why is that?"

That's usually what I do. I'll watch Fox and then either CNN or MSNBC just to see how each plays it.
The bias is blatant and alarming, actually.

They plan these things out months in advance. Certainly not on less than 24 hours notice.

I'm guessing you didn't hit the link. It shows the news coverage from MSNBC...you know, the TV program.

It's not a smart thing to try and start a trade war with Germany.

Your shit-posting ass isn't buying a Mercedes or a BMW, so you got nothing to worry about.
-
It's not a smart thing to try and start a trade war with Germany.
Yes, it is. Because some of the areas that Germany has a trade surplus in are the same areas that have been put in a stranglehold under Obama. Have you noticed the huge trade surplus that they have with us? Do you realize that the biggest chunk of that surplus is automobiles and parts? That's a perfect example of areas that the US could take advantage of, because we have that capability. That means jobs.
I could go much further into this, but it would fall on deaf ears.
-
Fuck Europe. Quit kissing their ass.
America first, bitches.

Yeah, screw the hundreds of thousands of Americans that work at said factories, you fucking dumbass. You do realize that Germany doesn't just have car factories here, right? They also have hydraulic factories.
-

BMW has one planf in the US. It employs 8800.
Mercedes has one plant in the US. It is used to provide no-show jobs for the relatives of Alabama football players.
Neither one is going anywhere.
You clearly missed the intended insult.
Oh well. Who's surprised?
-

Lets just take BMW, and also Mexico for an example. BMW isn't going to shut down their plant here in the US. It's just not going to happen. 70% of that plant's product gets sold outside of the US. It's the second most producing BMW plant, and they just invested $1 billion into it 3 years ago.
So, how does all of this relate to Mexico? When BMW setup their plants in Mexico, there was a law that stated that any vehicle sold in Mexico had to be assembled in Mexico, and 50% of the parts for those vehicles had to be made in Mexico. BMW didn't bat an eye, and Mexico's top export is now vehicles and parts. That export category has grown by 160% over the past 7 years. That's a perfect example of saying fuck all of you, if you want to do business in our country, you're going to play ball and we're going to get something out of it. It's a perfect example of putting your own country first.
I would post more on this, but it's pointless. You're not going to respond to it, because you don't know how to. You'll do the same thing you always do when someone beats you over the head with facts; come up with some stupid drive-by one liner, and pop up somewhere in another thread saying the same thing.

So you are saying its a double sour kraut day!

I'll say this again for all the retards here...Germany has other companies in America, not just automobiles.
RWS, you saying that Germany isn't going to pull their companies, because they invested more into them 3 years ago, means you don't have a fucking clue if they would pull them or not. Say they don't, then nothing lost. Say they do, then A LOT of jobs lost. All because Germany basically told Trump to fuck off.
Again, trying to start a trade war with Germany is a fucking horrible idea.
Germany and America have been allies for around 70 years. Trump has trashed that in around 130 days, much to the pleasure of Putin.

Some of RWS's goats need servicing. You could probably talk one of the dumber ones into a little something something.
At least you'd be away from here putting your ignorance on display.

And you still have no clue how trade works.
The one with the SURPLUS is not the one who wants to engage in the trade war. Take an economics class Forrest.

Jeezz. I graduated Carver fucking high school and had to re-take economics and freaking understand that. I try to stay out of political talk but Prowlers shit makes me feel like a damn genius.

Of course there are other German based companies in the US. Might some close down US operations? Maybe. Maybe not. Do you think T-Mobile is going to close down? How about Daimler? Volkswagen? Siemens? Bayer? Trader Joe's? DHL? STIHL? I doubt it, because at the end of the day, it's all about money. If nothing else, tariffs imposed on German imports such as vehicles will spur more domestic growth and will more than likely cause those companies to invest more in their US operations. Those companies aren't going to shut down US operations because Trump said something that hurt their feelings. Those companies are here because it is making them money. BMW certainly isn't going to shut down operations here just to turn around and export the same product they were making here and get hit with a tariff. That doesn't make sense.
