Former Crimson Tide Star Admits He Failed Multiple Drug Tests at Alabama

When you're one of the top college football programs in the land, any rumor or chance to tarnish your reputation is bound to make waves. For Alabama, this is just the reality.

At the NFL Combine, former Alabama Crimson Tide star and potential first round pick Tim Williams admitted to failing multiple drug tests in Tuscaloosa.

Williams was infamously caught with marijuana in his car on multiple occasions, but perhaps his most well-known blunder was when his friend said the drugs in their possession belonged to a 'Brandon Chicken'.

That incident was in 2015, and Williams reportedly made strides last season personally, and his play has been consistent enough to warrant a look from NFL squads.

Still, Williams' past has some comparing him to Randy Gregory, which is not a name you want to be associated with come draft day.

Williams was shockingly rarely suspended for his actions, which is sure to rub some in the Tuscaloosa community the wrong way.

“[I’m a] young player making decisions that I grew from,” Williams said. “That’s what life is about — being a man on and off the field, owning up to your mistakes. Everyone makes them. I’m not here dancing around and joking."

You have to give Williams some credit for owning up to his mistakes. It remains to be seen if NFL teams will be so forgiving, however.
What about the NCAA?

Careful, Buzz. Don't ask that question, we don't want you to have an accident.

I don't think he has stairs in his house.....but, he may want to watch a garden hose attached to his muffler.

Buzz has been known to fall for a banana in the tailpipe.

It should be more natural, brother. It should flow out, like this - "Look, man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!" See, that's more natural for us. You been hanging out with this dude too long.

And yet Chad Kelly does not get an invite.

Not that either of them should, but the hypocrisy is apparent!

He can take Reuben Foster's place.

That Scott Cochran is a hell of a strength coach.  Until, that is, his players have to back off the "regimen" to pass muster for the NFL draft.  Then they look pretty weak.

From what I've seen their performances at the Combine have been pretty weak.

Did he stay awake long enough to stay eligible all four years? Don't tell me he has a degree.

You see, Timmy, Oklahoma State is not Alabama. Therefore, they get punished just like Ole Miss will because they should know their place. Roll Tide. - Mark Emmert, NCAA Cockmaster

Alabama player misspoke at Combine. He didn't fail any drug tests. He said bug tests. He was talking about a specific part of a biology exam on which he failed to correctly distinguish between hexapods and arthropods. Head coach Nick Saban said that biology instructor Mitch O. Condria noticed a pattern among all students in regard to that particular portion of the exam and allowed students to retake it several times. Saban stressed that the overall grade was never in jeopardy as the student in question had already passed the other portion of the exam.

"It was bugs, aight?" Saban said. "It's not like he's gonna have to know what kind of damned bug it is when he's stomping the thing to death. Who cares if it's an aeropod or a hockey pod. He's just gonna kill it, aight? There's a lot of positive things you people could be writing about. I don't know why you've got to waste everybody's time with this bullshit about bugs. "

Al.com has verified that the player in question did take biology. He passed the class.

Believe it or not, Saban's actual response was fucking WORSE than the bug parody above.

"I think if anyone here asks someone eight or 10 times 'Am I in the right place? Is my name on the list? Why have I had to stay here for so long?' and nobody will respond to you, I think it would probably create a little anxiety for all of us," Saban said. "I know that Reuben wishes he would have responded maybe in a more positive way, but I think other people could have responded and been a little more respectful to him as well."

Foster and his agent set up a meeting for Tuesday night for Foster to meet with NFL teams and answer any questions they had about the incident.

Some draft analysts view the situation as a red flag for Foster. Not Saban.

"We never had issues with him," Saban said. "He's always been a great leader. He's a signal caller on defense. He's bright, and he's always been a great team guy and really well-liked by his teammates. If you're looking for a good teammate to be on your team, Reuben's going to be very, very good. If you're looking for someone to be a candy striper and to be nice to everyone at the hospital, then maybe not."

Nah...the Bama guys can afford Sigs, Smiths, or even the Glockenspiel. Hi Points are what Ole Miss players roll with in Oxford.
