Yes, I live a sheltered life. Here in the Wiregrass, we don't quite get access to what a lot of the "outside world" does. Not long ago, one of the best rock stations I've ever heard, started up here. Off the charts awesome. You may get Metallica's latest followed by some AC/DC from 1980. It may be Foo Fighters then Led Zepplin. Tonight, I'm driving home and tune in and it's in the middle of a song I haven't heard before. You've probably all long since heard this and forgotten about it. I had not. I thought, okay, a pretty cool Soundgarden or Audioslave song. I decided to Shazam it.
Zac Brown Band? Fricking really? I heard a bunch of stuff where Dave Grohl collaborated with them and also said they were some of the best musicians he'd ever played with. How do they hook up with Chris Cornell? How does Toes in the Water, Ass in the Sand become this? I love cross over stuff. I love to see artists step out of their genre. Their comfort zone. Love seeing Justin Timberlake fucking kill it with Chris Stapleton. Love seeing Gretchen Wilson front Alice in Chains to rip up Heart's Barracuda. And I damn well love this.

My favorite was Allison Kraus and Robert Plant.

Have you heard any of that great new Country artist, Garth Brooks? I hear he may be pretty good.

He won't ever amount to anything.

At least led zep were influenced by and had a large element of southern blues/rockabilly in their music. And Kraus has always been a bit of a crossover artist anyway. So it kind of jived. The rest? Fuc em.
