Title: Quick Look At The Dores
Post by: Snaggletiger on November 03, 2016, 03:58:29 PM
Vanderbilt comes in to JHS Saturday with a 4-4 record that goes a little sump'n like this:

South Carolina 13  Vandy 10

Vandy 47 Middle Tennessee 24

Georgia Tech 38 Vandy 7

Vandy 31 WKU 30 OT

Go Gatah 13 Vandy 6

Kentucky 20 Vandy 13

Vandy 17  Georgia 16  :pb: :pb: :pb:

Vandy 35 Tennessee State 17

The Dores put up right at 21 a game and give up a bit over 21 to their opponents.

The QB is Kyle Shermer:  106 - 200  1,089 yds  4 TD's  3 INT's.

They're led in rushing by Ralph Webb. The 5'10" 202 lb. RB is legit.  He's had some highlight reel runs this year.  Right now, he has 164 attempts for 855 yards and 6 TD's.  Has almost 3,000 yards for his career. In short yardage and goal line situations, they will usually go to Khari Blasingame, a 235 lb. RB with 300 yards and 7 TD's.

Overall, with the exception of a dynamic runner in Webb, the offense is pretty anemic.  They average 163 yards par game rushing and 136 a game passing.

The D is obviously fairly stout but it's hard to go down their schedule and find anyone with a high powered offense.  They're led by 6'4" 235 Zach Cunningham who has already been in on 85 tackles, 41 of those being solo stops.  Had 19 against Georgia. :pb: :pb: :pb:

After looking at the Kumadores, I stand by my pre-dick-shun of 37-13 good guys.

A stout running attack seems to give them problems.

37-13ish sounds about right to me. I mean it is kind of weird to say that Vandy has stouter defense than Miss St, Ole Miss AND Arkansas. However, they haven't been plowed by the Pettway Machine neither.

We do. And add a TD and xp for us and a FG for them...38-10.
And I will collect my prize of absolutely nothing at the end of the show.
