How does that affect the East and West races if they aren't able to make it up?

Isn't there a two week window between the last games and the SEC championship?

Better yet - they can't go ahead and send the check to Tomato Can State later in the season and play that week? Somehow this will work into Alabama's favor.

First of all, not postponed. Flat out cancelled.

This is how it would shake out.

Highest percentage?

So say the Corndogs are right and Coach O is their god of choice and they beat Alabama.

LSU finishes the season 6-1 in the SEC and Alabama finishes 7-1 with a direct loss to LSU.

Alabama goes to Atlanta?

Depends on what Nick wants.

It's elementary.
Saban projects to win easily in a head-up contest against a hurricane and would advance to Atlanta since LSU would not have the win total of Alabama.

That's not true according to what Chad posted and it seems like it's not true if you read the LSU message board.

It's not true.

Bama would.

Either that will happen or we go 6-2 to LSU's 6-1 and they go despite us having the head-to-head win.

One of those two things is pretty much guaranteed to happen because it would be either the most Auburn or most Bama thing that could happen.

I wouldn't be as enraged if LSU goes at 6-1 to our 6-2 because at least we would have two losses to their one.

I might be pushed even further away from watching college football anymore if Alabama loses to LSU head to head but still gets to go because Florida wouldn't compromise in rescheduling a game.

Only because we know LSU likely would have beaten UF. And because Bama has fallen backwards into the championship over and over and over again in the Saban era.

But we don't know LSU would have beaten UF and if they play this game and lose, we would be entitled to the SEC Championship in that scenario, and it will piss me off very nearly as much.

There are a lot of what ifs to this story.  We don't know which team might have won or how that would impact things.

What we do know is that there's lengthy historical precedent for Alabama getting preferential treatment.  Go back and look at how many SEC Championships those assclowns got because they played an extra game against Vandy every year.  Look no further than 1972.  We beat them head to head, both had one SEC loss (ours was to LSU).  They win the SEC because they had that extra game and a higher %.  That happened more than once.

It's bullshit, but to be expected.

It's all Hillary's fault.
