So Georgia still can't have a DB just bat a ball down, even with a new regime in place. And Butch Jones never had any doubt just from listening to some post game tidbits.

It was a no win weekend really.

Butch Jones is an assclown and Josh Dobbs is a no eyebrow hack.  The Vols should really be a two or three loss team.  Bama is going to get a ridiculous amount of unwarranted credit for pushing their orange colored shit in.  But is them winning better than watching Saban disciple and flobby douche Kirby and the Dawgs succeed?  I don't know.

Is watching A&M flop around like a rotting fish fun when they're doing it against the Carolina Muschamps?  I don't know.

I can't stand Florida's beaver faced jackass coach.  But is them looking like warmed over pumpkin piss worth it when they're doing it against Vandy?

I like Les Miles a lot. Think he's a great coach. Or is he?  Apparently Orgeron thinks he's better.  At least I think he thinks that.  Couldn't make out much of what he said other than bellowing a few sweaty cliches "Siddy minnit game" at Kaylee Freshwater.  It was a little sad watching LSU bludgeon a Missouri team I thought might put up a little more fight than that. Sad because I think the result would have been pretty much the same if Miles was still there. Everybody's celebrating the new LSU and the play calling genius of Ensminger (hahahahahaaaaa....).  I saw something else.  I saw a Missouri team that is a fraud and will likely finish with a losing record.  I saw an LSU team that's quite possibly better with Fournette sitting out. Made it difficult for Missouri to defend. I saw a Missouri team that gave up and could not stop the run. LSU would have run wild on them no matter who was head coach.  Etling still missed a ton of open receivers and easy throws.  It was a good win and LSU looked more energetic but I don't think it portends anything. When they can't blow people off the line and have to mix it up to move the ball (against a&M, UA, Ole Miss, etc...) the O-train is going to crash.

What did we learn about Auburn?  Sadly not much.  I was watching Sean White and the thought occurred to me:  Would he beat out Neil Caudle?  I think the answer is maybe, but maybe not.  Would he beat out Barrett Trotter?  I don't think so.  We've still got problems there.  I'm on board with the defense.  It's as good as it's been in a long time.  Played well enough to be unbeaten at this point.  I watched LSU line up in the I and run the downhill  toss with the fullback plowing the hole when they needed a couple of yards.  I wondered why we couldn't do that.  Would have been enough to beat Clemson if we had.  Would have made a difference against A&M.  Would have kept Carlson from being SEC player of the week and from passing Bo on the all time scoring list if we had done it against LSU.  What a novel concept.  A lead blocker on short distance downs.  Oh well.

Didn't learn anything about Arkansas or Ole Miss either.

Fuck Bama. Hate them. Hate their fans. Hate Musberger.

I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE the Belk commercials with the SEC coaches.  Bert looks like he swallowed a manatee and six dozen donuts.  The Florida beaver just looks like a moron.

Did learn that if AU needs a coach at the end of the year I hope we pass on Herman and even Patterson now.  I hope we don't look at Petrino.  If I'm hiring a coach I'm taking the plane to Seattle and not leaving until Chris Petersen comes back with me.  He is the answer and is the right person to manage the personnel (and recruits) we have.  Unfortunately I know Jacobs isn't that smart.  And Petersen's probably not even a member of the Church of Christ.  He might be one of those Mormons.

Bama is its usual self.  They've got enough 5* athletes to beat most teams in our conference and around the nation. They don't look great but they just have more players than anyone in the conference.  After that, I don't see anyone much above average in this league.  I concur on Tennessee.  They should have at least 1 or 2 in the loss column.  But wow, did that ever make me moist watching the tears roll down the faces of the Georgia Nation.

I was also impressed with the Huskies.  Solid QB and a ton of speed.  That wasn't a game from the opening bell.

Agree that there's not much to take away from our game other than we handled our business the way we should have against an inferior opponent.  I was glad Clifford Franklin got some reps but after the first two series, why was he even in there if all he was going to do was hand the ball off 46 straight times?  Let him run some of the offense.  You don't have to run the score up. Let him hit a slant or out pattern for a first down.  Something other than handing it off.

JMHO but its about time Auburn fans reach between their legs, grab that little string hanging out of their vag, pull that bloody tampon out, and get off the fucking rag.

Currently Sean White leads the SEC in completion %, is averaging a healthy 8.6 yards per pass, has 1 int through 5 games, and is currently 3rd in QB rating. I mean what the fuck else is the kid gotta do for disgruntled Auburn fans to STFU and realize he is damn good QB who has only had the backing of his coaches for a grand total of 4 games. Lets not forget that he is only a Soph and outside of Tony Stevens, he is throwing to soph and frosh. Just imagine if he'd been named the starter, as he should've been, early in fall and actually had time to mesh with this young group of receivers. To put him in the same category as Neil Caudle, who never even sniffed the field, is fucking laughable.

I myself am actually happy with what I see out of this team. Yes the season is already littered with what might been. Yet I see a extremely young and talented offense who is getting better, leads the SEC in rushing, and is getting damn good at establishing drives and moving the ball. When this team gets over the hurdle of scoring in RZ (and I believe they will sooner rather than later), this team is gonna be a fucking load. The defense goes without saying, its the best Auburn defense I've seen at least a decade.

I'll add this in conclusion...While its doubtful we win out, there is not a single game left on the schedule I don't think we can/will win. That includes the gumps who I think lose at least 2 this year.

Per the al.com's - The crowd for Auburn's Homecoming game against ULM was the fewest people at Jordan-Hare Stadium in nearly three years.

Crowd of 84,243

I saw it but was more impressed they beat Miss. State earlier in the season.  SDSU isn't a powerhouse and it beat a shitty Golden Bear team earlier.  And someone important at SDSU must be sucking pollster penis.

It did not make the headlines.  It did not make waves across the college landscape.

I saw Neil Caudle play.  He was on the field.

We've piled up points and yards against one-legged dogs.  Quoting those skewed stats doesn't mean a whole lot.

Hope the trend continues.

But it does show with a bit of good blocking, we can be competitive.
That giv s me enough hope to actually look forward to our games.

I think White is playing better each game.  The competition was inferior yesterday but it wasn't last week and I believe he was 19-26 (With a couple of drops) and around 240.  As long as he keeps progressing and Lashlee progresses at calling plays, we could have something.  It might be a big boil on the ass cheek, but still, that's something.

Ya I saw Neil on the field too. Last Snags mentioned he was a damn fine place holder.

Those scewed stats have come against probably the toughest schedule in the country to date. Hell the ranks 11th in the country in completion percentage. 34th in yards per pass. He has 1 int on the year and is throwing to freshmen and sophomores. Not sure wtf more the Auburn family wants from the guy besides him being black and running really fast.

Mississippi State will bow up on us at 11AM this Saturday.
This is exactly the type of State team that has embarrassed us in the past after we were cruising along after a breather.

This will be a nice wake up call (punch in the mouth) for the rest of the season and we will get to see what type of redzone strategy Gushlee has implemented beyond field goals.

Thoughts, comments, and other observations from the past weekend

Auburn
Without a doubt, Gus and co. would dominate the Sun Belt on a regular basis. Until we do that against a real SEC team (note, about 9 or the 14 meet that qualification) I'm going to have to hope the defense can get us through and keep it close in games. Like jmar posted, this week is a wake up call. Let's see if we answer the phone.

Alabama
The boring, no fun, cheat and beat everyone machine cruise controls through another half of the season without any media speculation or anyone questioning the arrests, mysterious transfers, or general asshole-ness of the head coach. Now they take the show on the road for two weeks and get TAMU at home. They lose one of these three and once again, it won't matter at all. I'm so sick of this team...sigh.

Big 12 Football
Sucks.

Charlie Strong is done. Oklahoma is awful. Baylor nearly choked on Iowa State.

Meeechigan
 Pffffffftttttttt. Put some more starch in those khakis.

The SEC (L)East
Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Mizzou have to be the weakest set of any division in the country. Bad football doesn't even describe it. That's an insult to bad football everywhere. Florida and Georgia ain't much better. And Tennessee? Lucky horseshoe up their orange asses. They get waxed like a candle the next two weeks.

Washington and the PunkAss12
I guess they are good. They finally beat a team that had looked okay in Stanford. That conference is down too. Especially Oregon who is so fast circling the drain. Eat a dick, Ducks. Colorado leads a division. The Potffalos haven't been good since that weird minister was the coach. I shouldn't have said that. Jacobs is likely to hire that dude next.

Clemson and Louisville
Clemson rushed the field for a home conference win in October. Posers.
Louisville - fun while it lasted, huh? So long, Bobby. Go screw another intern on your motorcycle but this time, please face plant into the side of an 18 wheeler like the dude on Sons of Anarchy. Spoiler warning.

The NFL
Totally unwatchable boring cookie cutter formulaic over-officiated trash. I'm glad for Netflix on Sunday afternoons.

I like Washington and how Petersen has built them. I bet they feel like they dodged a bullet with USC taking Sark the Drunk Lark off their hands. Washington doesn't have loads of talent but look well coached. Underdogs. I like it.

Back in the SEC, it's about to get real for the division leaders.  Going to be interesting to see what's happened when the dust settles.  With UT, you'd better get them now or they waltz to the Georgia Dome. As is always the case, their schedule is front loaded with a cake walk to finish up.  Having beaten UGA and Florida, they can split the next two and still take the East.

Bama's next 4:

@Arky
@Tennessee
Texas A&M
LSU

Tennessee:

@Texas A&M
Bama
@USCe
Tenn. Tech
UK
Mizzou
@Vandy

Texas A&M:

UT
@Bama
@Miss. State
Ole Miss
Breather U
LSU

Bama gets befuddled once
Tennessee gets befuddled once
aTm gets befuddled atleast twice

It's looking like a bama/UT rematch in the SEC Championship

Didn't get to watch a lot of the ULM game Saturday.  Watching it now.

I don't know what game some of ya'll watched, but I saw a number of things that are huge concerns.

The OL in the first quarter when ULM could compete depth wise was getting punked far too often. ULM had open receivers but they kept dropping balls for what could have been big gains.

Honestly, there was a period in the first half where they looked to be sleep walking through it all. Actually texted that very thing to Mr Boiled Peanut himself at the time. They seemed to pull heads out of asses before the half.

Kentucky punked Bama for a quarter.  ULM moved the ball on us a little and yes, I fully expected them to move it better than they did.  They dropped 2-3 passes that were easy pitch and catches.  We're not a great defense.  But we're pretty damn solid overall. I think most people said going into this season that our D should be good enough to win some games and keep us in every one we play.  That's been the case so far.
