Running back, Jamarius Henderson, transferred to Troy from Memphis a few days ago. He'll apply for a hardship waiver to play this year but most likely will have to sit it out. Either way, this kid will be a good one if he keeps his grades etc. in line. Some H.S. stats:
While at Dale County, the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Henderson broke the AHSAA state season rushing record as a senior with 3,483 yards and accumulating 44 rushing touchdowns.
He finished his career with 9,207 yards and 115 rushing touchdowns and was co-runner-up for the state’s Mr. Football award behind winner Kerryon Johnson of Madison Academy. He was the also winner of the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 3A Lineman of the Year award for his work as a linebacker.

I never saw this kid play but I remember hearing about him and reading about him. I don't know what kind of numbers, if any, he had at Memphis. But, after his recruitment, I remember wondering if he could possibly be another one that slipped through the cracks and ends up in the NFL.
I don't have any idea what the hesitation of the power conferences was caused by. But his numbers were through the roof.

There has to be something the bigger colleges know because when he announced he was looking elsewhere, I believe GT and Southern Miss were the biggest schools wanting him. He only had 320 yards and 4 TD's this past year but was playing behind an established starter with good numbers.
Anywayz, maybe T-Roy got a steal. We shall see.
