Zeke passed away today. He was one of the greats.

Had one of the meanest looking pics of all time.  He looked like a 35 year old Marine Drill Sargeant.

I have a special connection with Zeke. He was the guest speaker at my Junior High Basketball awards banquet at St. James in Montgomery.  I was MVP of the all white boy St. James Jr. High basketball team.  We were 3-15 but I was a rock in the middle.  The go-to guy. Averaged a single-single every night.  I'm certain Zeke remembered me.

You weren't a 4 for 4 from the charity stripe kind of baller?

Srsly, it doesn't surprise me that you take a well intended thread to honor an AU great and turn it into a story about your playing days. Complete lack of class on your part, as usual.

Besides, I probably didn't have the height that you had at that age but I was a very physical defender and pounded the boards for a team high in rebounds on a regular basis.

Listen up.  My exploits on the court were legendary on at least half the block I lived on.  You might have pounded the boards, as you so boldly proclaimed, but did you average anywhere near the 4.7 per game I grabbed?  Yeah, didn't think so.
