Title: Summitt & Ryan Pass
Post by: Snaggletiger on June 28, 2016, 03:17:58 PM
Lost a couple of big names in sports in Pat Summitt and Buddy Ryan.  In the grand scheme of things, Summitt is a huge loss or maybe, the bigger name.  I am not and will never be a fan of women's basketball.  I get it.  I respect it.  Just don't care to watch it.  But I can also respect anyone who was/is the winningest coach in D-1 history, man or woman.

Ryan of course, made his hay off being the architect of Da' Bears 46 Defense. Went on to become a head coach, but it was that "in your face", we're all lining up right in front of you-now do something about it style of D that people remember most.  And yes, those were some bad ass mofos.

Buddy Ryan and Bum Phillips were 2 of the most underrated coaches in the history of football.

Summit was a badass. Tougher and meaner than most men. Hard as nails.

Same with Buddy Ryan.

Old school ones are a dying breed now. Literally.
