Court documents reveal that three George Mason University (GMU) students were arrested last week after police found bomb-making materials in their dorm room during a raid.
One of the students was charged for possession of the bomb-making materials, while the other two were arrested on alcohol and drug-related charges.
AP reported that, “police found a leafy green substance, match books, shaved match heads, a mortar and pedestal, lighter fluid, hand sanitizer candles and a PVC pipe.â€
GMU is located in Northern Virginia, where there has been a notable uptick in radical activity among youths. In nearby Prince William County, 17-year-old Ali Shukri Amin pled guilty last July to “conspiring to provide material support to terrorists†when he helped ISIS recruit another teen to go to Syria.
Other reports have shown a concerted effort by ISIS to engage teenage Americans. One paper by George Washington University identified Virginia as a hotspot for these recruiting efforts. While we know very little about the motive and identity of these GMU students, this trend is worth noting as the investigation develops.

Bombs in the Brussels airport killed about 30 today.
I don't get the concept of terror attacks. You're accomplishing two things. Killing random, innocent people and making the general public more fearful and wary of their surroundings. Okay, so what have you won? What did you really do? Did you advance or further some cause? Let's say these students really had the bad intentions they obviously appeared to have and were able to carry out their plan and set off a pipe bomb and kill a handful of people. 99% certain they'd be tracked down and if not blown away, captured and put in prison for the rest of their lives. What was it all for?

Some folks just want to watch the world burn, I suppose.

Well. in this case, they are justified. If the people won't convert, you are supposed to lovingly eliminate them.
