Title: Parting Gift or Beginning of a Dynasty?
Post by: wesfau2 on February 05, 2016, 11:54:02 AM
I figure we're all expecting a Panthers win...just curious if anyone really thinks the Broncos have a chance?

I absolutely believe Broncos have a chance. Manning with a rested arm, a spectacular defensive performance and winning the turnover margin will be key.

I'm actually fearing for Peyton's health a little in this game.  The Panthers' D gets into the backfield quickly and with bad intentions.  He could be broken in half at some point.

I definitely give the Broncos a chance.  If the Falcons could develop a scheme to keep the Panthers in check, the Broncos surely can too.  Much better D than the Birty Dirds.

That being said, I see Cam willing them to a win no matter what.  I won't be upset either way, though.  Want the Camthers to win, but Manning may be my favorite pro athlete of all time.  If Carolina can't get it done, Cam's already proven he can take a team with what I think most would consider, not the most talented team in the league, to the promise land.  Either way, he'll be back.

That Falcons loss is on Shula...not the Dirty Birds.

Wait, how could that be?  I thought it was all because Cam's skripper had a baby and he was diskracted.

Never count out Manning and also the Broncos D is very good. Here is what I see though, Manning will throw short routes early and often to keep the pressure off him. The problem is the Panthers D is very good at those coverages. Manning will have to go long ball but I think that will hurt him literally. Panthers rush packages will punish him for that. I don't think he can take that punishment. I don't see an ass beating but I do see the Panthers controlling the clock and the scoreboard from start to finish.

I'll just be watching and enjoying to be honest.  Of course I would love to see my man Cal win it, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Manning go out on top either.  Gonna smoke some ribs and wangs and enjoy this one.

Who is Cal? What position does he play? Does he fly?

Set the NFL record for consecutive games not played.

Two weeks ago I was absolutely confident of a Carolina win.

Today I feel the opposite.   Cam seems frustrated with all the questions.  Norman too.  The enormity may be too much.

Cam has been in the "pressure cooker" before. I don't think the enormity will get to him.

I don't think Denver can win with Osweiler on the sidelines. And as much as I like Manning I do not think he can go a whole quarter without fluttering a few up for grabs with that weak arm.
Carolina has no weaknesses with the exception that they tend to get too conservative when they get up two TDs or more.
Shouldn't come down to a last possession score by Carolina but somehow I think it will.
