So we got their DB coach:

Bad is a harsh word. Let's just say... Not good
-
When he coached Miami's DB's, they were second nationally.

You and your damned bright spots...
Makes you wonder. Did the game evolve? Or did he have bad DBs in NOLA?

Lack of pass rush killed him at the Saints. From what I can tell is he is a good college coach that is a heck of a bagman.

I would love to find another CAM.
Where do we send the check?

Yeah even Whitt Jr.'s group at Pittsburgh look sub-par. The guy was at Vandy, didn't follow what's his face to PSU, then it looks like he was at Ole Piss for a season when they had the two really good safeties. Then it's off to the Saints. Maybe he just wanted to try the pro ranks and wanted to come back to college ball.

His time in the NFL produced about the same results as Mel Tucker. So this hire isn't too worrisome to me considering Smart wanted Tucker to follow him to UGA.

^^This^^
Especially the bagman part.

N.O. got no pressure on Ryan Sunday. Neither team got any pressure for that matter. On a side note (Yeah I know, Falcons and Bama suck) I know he's a Turd Grad, but holy damn Julio Jones is a beast. 136 receptions for 1,871 yards. He looks like a freakin' linebacker next to everyone else.

136 receptions AND 1,871 yards in one game...sheez, you're right, #BeastMode That single game NFL record will never be broken, not even on the PlaystationBox.

I have a funny feeling you're being sarcastic. Look smart guy, I was there. In person. It happened. And...he caught 8 touchdown passes. Yeah, that's the ticket. In fact, those totals were only for the....first quarter. And he made every catch....one-handed...yeah. With 3 of them made behind his back....while he was 20 feet up in the air. Then he knocked out Larry Culpepper, took his drink cart and broke all the existing Dr. Pepper sales records at half time.
That's the ticket.

I'm just spit balling here, but the bad Saints defense might have more to do with their defensive players and maybe their Defensive Coordinator. I don't know, just something to think about.
What I do know, is this guy is a hell of a recruiter while at Ole Miss (lead recruiter for Robert Nkimdickie and LaQuon Treadwell)

Robert Nkemdiche would throw himself out a window for coach crime dogg.

Years, scores and players all run together for me. But I remember too well Julio receiving what seemed to be 45 or 50 consecutive completions straight down the length of the field to steal away any hope of winning that particular Iron Bowl in recent past.
I guess it was McBirdie at QB? All other memories are faded but the Neanderthal receiver took over the field from 1-5 yards of the Los and we couldn't hope to slow him down. It was the same area of the field he wore our ass out.
So, he's one of the players that every college coach in the country wanted that did pan out. And was likely worth all of the Dodge vehicles, jobs and fishing trips.
Mofo can deal, Jack.

So youre saying we had a hand in his development as a receiver?

If by linebacker you mean Stripe the Gremlin, then yes.

They open with Miami.

They open with Miami.
I don't think anyone is pretending Miami is great after one fluke game. Yeah, that was directed at the Falkkuhnns fan base.
Besides, they did beat the cheatin Pats.

Look, I'm happy that the 15-ONE Panthers got a bye in the first round. I hope they rise up and beat wholioever they wind up playing.

Blame simp....he drug me over to the Camthers this year. He said they would be good. Said the chances were about as likely as him looking at a woman and getting her knocked up. Thats about as locked down of a guarantee as something can have. And he was right!

I know all about getting girls kno.....I mean I know all about Panthers football.
Seriously, when Benjamin went down, I pulled back the confidence a wee wee bit. Butt, after seeing how Cam responded by tossing the rock to different WRs, my confidence took a shot of Viagra to a point where my prognostication was rock solid.

I ain't bragging about Miami. Besides I'm a Panthers fan....been one for years!

Since 2011 anyway!

Someone please to be splainin' where I've ever bragged on the Falmommy parts. Yeah, I said Whoolio is a beast. But then, the whole NFL has been saying that. Oh, and I admit to claiming they played good defense against the Camthers for one game. But that's clearly been debunked because Cam's stripper had a baby and the entire Panther team didn't care about winning that game or going undefeated. Again, I was pulling for Carolina in that game.
-
Just admit it. You were doing the dirty bird all night.

Its ok Snaggle, you are an outcast for being such a loyal Falcons fan. Don't sweat it. It will all be over soo.....wait, the Falcons season is over. :haha:

No, but I did do the Ickey Shuffle. Gone get some cold cuts. Gone get some cold cuts. Wooooo...

Back on coaches. Saw this little quote from Corch Lance Thompson.
"I would've stayed as the coordinator, absolutely," Thompson said. "(Malzahn) made the decision to go on. Gus is a good man, Auburn is a good program, but wish him well. ...

So, he leaves to be a LBer coach, under a young DC & a HC that was his DC at his former school. Yeah, makes sense Lance.
