Noel Mazzone.
Hired as A&M's OC.
What's he been up to? Well:
After leaving Auburn he was OC at: Oregon St., NC St. and Ole Miss
Then he coached WRs for the NY Jets.
Then he was OC for a HS football team (???)
Then he was OC for AZ St. and, most recently, UCLA.
Interesting detours in the middle.

I would hope he has dumbed down the playbook a bit.
He had a reputation for a good offense, but a very difficult one.
-
Seems like a desperation move to me. Not that Noel isn't competent as an oc. But this is a philosophical change for sumlin.

My first thought as well. His offense (at least the version I remember) featured the running backs much more than Sumlin would like.

Since all of aTm's quarterbacks r-u-n-n-o-f-t to other programs, the aggies aren't going to have much to do other than run the ball
-
Was that the Ben Leard offense?

Not so fast.

Speaking of kawdinatuhs, heard reports yesterday that Miles is going to stick with Cam Cameron as OC. Hasn't the whole issue with Miles been not getting a QB and refusing to open up the offense?
