I am watching Sarah Palin's speech right now and tears are running down my face. I'm not sure why, unless it's the historical nature of her nomination, or maybe the fact that she is so damn normal and likeable, or maybe it's because she is KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES.
Somehow I think the future of this country just got so much brighter.

I'm telling you that if I had a choice of that sexy ass momma Sarah and Raven Riley, I'd have to put Raven aside. Would not even hesitate. I'd be on that like a starving badger on a ham sandwich.

They say the pit-bull joke was an ad-lib. I think she was sending a message to the dims to quit screwing with her family. She threw it in right before she tore racist term insinuating Obama is a Muslim, which he is not a new ass. I liked the pick when it was announced, I am loving it now. If she can be this tough, yet disarming on the road, she will continue to just chew up the yet another racist term and "Joe blow". <courtesy of JD)

All I can say is wow...
I didn't know much about her when she was first nominated but I liked what I have read in the past couple of days. And when she was introduced tonight, all I could think of was, "please be strong. Please don't fuck this up!"

About 1 minute into her speech...and that is all it took...I said to myself, "damn, I would hate to be on her bad side"
Great pick McCain. Freaking phenominal. She made the ticket go from something I would vote for because I was voting against Obama, to a ticket I will take pride in voting for in November!

From what I understand (and the sources are Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, and Rush Limbaugh) her teleprompter scrolled well ahead of her speech position about half-way through her address so she was speaking from her notes and memory NOT from the teleprompter. Study the sources but she was phenomenal all-the-same.
There's not more that I can really say about her than what has already been said in this thread. She is a great choice and she will change the political dynamics of this campaign. She's given me real hope that conservatism is alive and well and will win.
I love her. She's just what the Republican Party needs right now. She and McCain will be getting my vote.
