Wow.  The most talented offensive player on the team goes head case and is gone.  The most talented defensive player gets banged up and will never play another down for beloved AU.  (My prediction on Lawson)

Duke has always been a "headcase", that was known coming outta JUCO. He became a locker room cancer when he stopped getting all the passes thrown to him, remember he was dismissed during the bowl preparation and game (iirc, he and Coach Craig got into a heated discussion and had to be broken up).
Thank GAWD he's gone, don't get me wrong, I loved watching him he had the ball in his hands...much like I loved watching Randy Moss. Same, same.

But my question is when did we stop throwing to him? (Last year)  He was the man.  He was THE focus of our passing game. He got hurt...came back and he had a huge game against Bama.  When did not throwing to him become an issue last year?

Ditto. Loved watching him play last season. He could catch it if it was in the same area code.

This year? Sad. Glimpses, yes. But I saw the attitude and body language, at least I thought.

What a freaking waste of talent, potential and millions of dollars. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the lack of throws his way is the problem. But he would've got plenty in the remaining conference games.

If he truly is a problem in the locker room, maybe we'll see a difference. I contend that Melvin Ray has damn near the talent Duke does. Great hands.

Maybe we actually will see it spread around some now.

I heard Cowart is dissatisfied. Hope he gets his head straight.

Umm, well Snaggle, when yo ass takes plays off because the play doesn't include you then I'm guessing the next play ain't coming to you neither. This shit has been obvious to the blind this year. I've seen especially the last two games which coincides with JJ not being the starter.

Please see the term "last year" twice in my post.  I was answering Prowler's assertion that the bowl game suspension etc. came because he wasn't the focus of the offense.  That wasn't the case at all last year.  He was THE man in all aspects...last year.

The dot  I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. confirm what the X has already stated.

D'haquille "Duke" Williams punched two security guards, a bartender assistant and another unidentified patron of a bar in Auburn following the football team's win over San Jose State, according to an employee who spoke exclusively to AL.com.

The employee requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the incident.

According to the witness, the incident was sparked when a member of Williams' party was kicked out of Skybar for wearing sunglasses inside, a violation of the bar's dress code policy. Williams, who the witness said appeared intoxicated, attempted to get his friend back into the bar using his local celebrity status only to be denied.

Police arrived at the scene Saturday after the incident and returned Monday, according to the witness, who said one of the victims wanted to press charges against Williams unless he was disciplined by the team.

Calls and text messages sent to Williams on Wednesday by AL.com were not immediately returned. Captain Lorenza Dorsey of the Auburn Police Department told AL.com no police report has been filed in relation to Williams. Attempts to reach the Lee County Sheriff's Office have been unsuccessful. Online police and court records do not reflect any charges against Williams.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn dismissed Williams Monday night, but declined to detail his reasoning or whether another football player was involved.

"I'm not going to give any details," Malzahn said during his weekly press conference Tuesday.

Malzahn allows players to visit local establishments, including bars, after games. "Really, there's been times I've told them we're not going to do that but at the same time you want your players to be responsible adults," he said Wednesday.

When asked if he will forbid players from patronizing local bars in the future, Malzahn said he would stick with his policy.

"We'll continue to do what we've been doing," he said. "We had one young man that didn't represent us in the right way. We've got a bunch of guys that do it the right way."

The troubled wide receiver was previously suspended for the Outback Bowl in January for violating team rules and after posting and deleting a picture of himself with a black eye on Instagram. He was also absent from the first six days of fall camp while dealing with what Malzahn described as "discipline issues."

"When individuals fail to meet the expectations of our program, there has to be consequences," Malzahn said in a statement after booting Williams. "I gave D'haquille the chance to prove himself. I am disappointed that it did not work out."

Bammer.

The last time I went through Auburn (late September) the place was overrun with cars draped in four, six or eight bama flags waving.

When I was growing up that shit would not have been tolerated.

So, now there's footage of Duke being escorted out.  "Flailing" but not punching.  No idea what the beginning/end of the altercation looked like.
