Auburn and Under Armour have extended their partnership through June 2025.
Auburn's deal is worth $78.1 million over the next nine years at an average of $8.68 million per year, making it the third-largest apparel deal in the country, according to published reports.
The deal includes a base compensation is worth $22.5 million and the product total is $40.5 million. Auburn will also be provided $10 million in stock in the company, $4.5 million in royalties and $675,000 in marketing.
Auburn reached out to other apparel companies but sided with its previous apparel provider, athletics director Jay Jacobs said. Auburn originally signed a 10-year deal with Under Armour in 2007. That contract was worth $36.5 million with an average total of $3.65 million per year.
Auburn's deal is the largest in the SEC. Notre Dame leads the way nationally at $9 million per year over the next 10 years in its newly-minted deal with Under Armour. Michigan is set to earn between $10.1 million and $10.9 million in its new deal with Nike over the next 15 years, according to reports.
The deal will cover all 21 sports at Auburn. Under Armour has signed deals with 13 schools across the country, including two of the top three lucrative deals in the country.
The deal does not include drastic changes to Auburn's uniforms or the possibility of alternate uniforms for the football team.
"Our traditional uniform is well known and it is a classic looking uniform," Jacobs said. "... I think that our brand is strong and that we're very confident in who we are and what we look like every Saturday."
Auburn's current deal was set to expire in June 2016 and was recently restructured to total $5.85 million for the 2015-16 academic year.

At least were getting paid this time I guess.....I just think Under Armor is crap personally.
-
Can we please dump those hideous orange cleats?
-
So the only Under Armour team to win a BCSNC while wearing it, and then playing for another BCSNC, plays second fiddle to ND? Seems legit.

You fucking kidding me?
Underarmour is the best. Fits good. Holds up well. Looks good.
Socks. Shoes. Polos. Hats. Shorts. Golf slacks. Sweats.
Can't wait until they get into golf clubs, golf shoes and golf balls. Will buy it all.

I'm cool with UA for the most part. Quality stuff. But, I work out religiously and most of their workout gear is very fitted. Very Saran Wrap tight. I have a problem with accentuating the floppy man-boobs and love handles. Under Armour does a bang up job of making my saggy ass self-conscious.

You have to look for the loose fit shirts. Very good product IMO but that's just me.

we all have different activities and perhaps some similarities likewise with comforts.
casual, yep. Auburn gear, yep. lounging on the couch typing lowercase, yep. mowing the yard, yep.
for me it stops there. backpacking, stealhead fishing, climbing volcanoes and running, UA doesn't cut it. durability, comfort, keeping me fresh, etc...there are better options in shorts, shirts, socks and under garment wear.
running shoes suck. though i never worn their trail shoes word on the trail there are better options.
other than shoes...Nike isn't much better.

What they both said. Fuck Nike! Under Armor is the shiznit!
Also now I know why the polos cost $80. So we can expect next years polos to be $110?

No one said anything about other activities? I mean fishing gear I wouldn't buy it. It's Finrush or nothing!

^^What chinook said about the shoes. UA needs to get out of the shoe biz. My kids like the looks of UA but the shoes don't hold up. Supposedly, they've improved but I've run out of patience.
I wouldn't know about the volcano running or other gay stuff. But the shirts work fine while bream fishing and drinking beer.

I echo the fella from the PNW....about two weeks late.
Casual, they are fine. I can tell you personally that from an athletic standpoint they are crap. Shoes and socks, even shirts - all crap performance wise. Nike's Dry Fit material on shorts and shirts - is much better and lighter than the garbage UA peddles to the masses.

If you don't wear Finrush, then fuck you.
