Title: Lowered Expectations

We're not going to beat Ole Miss.
We're not going to beat Texas A&M
We're not going to beat Georgia
We're not going to beat Alabama
We may not beat Kentucky
We may not beat Mississippi State
We may not beat Arkansas
We will have to fight to beat Idaho
We will have to fight to beat San Jose State

The season is not over, but it might as well be.

I didn't even see any of the game.  Didn't have to. The rapage was evident by the giggling I heard from Georgia, Bama and LSU fans around me.  The offense was putrid beyond anything  Keihl/Clint dreamed.

I'm baffled.  Part of it is Johnson.  He absolutely sucks.  But that can't be all of it.

I'm glad I decided to blow off the game and go to a concert festival today.   Instead of that abortion i got to see Hall and Oates, Panic at the Disco, Billy Idol, Lenny Kravitz and Van Halen.

Much better day than wasting it being pissed at something I have no control over.

I have also found that expecting to lose (which I was hoping wouldn't happen, but deep down knew it would) doesn't make you quite as pissed.  Still pissed, just not as.

As prickly as Tuberville was, ten years straight we were competitive every year.  Like Dye he brain farted a game or two a year, losses that maybe kept us from being what we could have been.

That consistency seems, to me, to be better than the ridiculous highs and puzzling lows we're experiencing the last seven.

I don't even have any thoughts, we are good when expected to be bad, and horribly bad when expected to be great.  Maybe the writing was there and I didn't see it, but this season is baffling to me. I feel like it is 2003 all over again.

They never quit in their game, we did. Their coaching staff will go in and look to see what changes need to be made and how to make themselves better. JJ will prolly start next Sat.

The problem is not JJ. The problem is the coach who said he was good enough to start. There is no way in full contact/full speed practice that he is Joe Montana. If he is our best option to win then we must have Jake Holland as a fucking back-up QB.

As stated earlier, the rest of my Sat's are now open.

Learning how to catch a fucking kickoff would be a great place to start.

Tuberville's brain farts felt (smelt?) better than Malzahn's. I think simply because Tuberville had good defenses and Malzahn has to have a good offense.

It's much more embarrassing to watch the other team have a track meet against you while their fans hoot and holler and jump around and talk shit about how much we suck than to watch a slow paced game come to a close with Auburn not having done enough on offense to win.

I thought it was with a calf, because we ate the damn goat.
