Edit: I voted for the guy.   :facepalm:  Last time I voted for a democrat.  I skipped the Clinton years because what the repubs were throwing out then was shit.

I don't think the average citizen realizes the pressure Presidents are under from people behind the scenes. Those who don't abide usually get shot at. I have no doubt Carter had good intentions when he went to Washington. He actually told Pat Robertson as much. I think he's a decent human who was misguided on policy and too naive to understand how the DC game works. But I don't think it makes him a bad guy. Weak yes. Malicious no.
