Great article! I am stoked about this season for AU. Heck, I’m stoked about CFB in general.
Looking forward to your piece on Auburns backfield. I believe Robinson, Thomas and Barber will be in the same discussion with Arkansas backfield as the season unfolds. The SEC looks to have one of the best RBs compliments in a long time in my opinion.

Why all the slobbering over Arky's rushing game?

You do realize that AU had more rushing yards than the Hogs last year, right?

In team rushing, Arkansas was FIFTH in the SEC.  Only nine yards better than LSU.  Auburn was first.

Also fifth in attempts.  LSU first, Auburn second.

Fourth in YPC.  UGA first. Auburn second.

Well surely the Hogs scored more TDs?  No.  Fourth again.  Behind UGA, the UAssholes and Auburn.

FUCK.  Yards per game?  No again.  Fourth.  Auburn was first.

First year starter Cameron Artis-Payne led the SEC in rushing.  He did so with everybody in three different stadiums knowing full well that if AU was running it, he was getting the ball.

The same discussion with Arkansas' backfield?  Those pig fucks better hope they can stay in the conversation with ours.

These are not my words concerning the Arky rushing game, its every sports media outlet when discussing the SEC and running backs. Next on their pecking order is Georgia, bama, then that french guy at LSU. Hardly have I even heard mention of Auburn. I believe AU will be the conversation once we get into the 2015 season.

Matter of fact, I kind of like the fact there is not much talk about Auburns rushing attack.

No doubt AU's rushing game will be bad ass just as it always is under Malzahn/Lashlee.  How many 1,000 rushers is it now for Gus?  That tradition will continue.

As far as individual rushers, I think Nick Chubb is the man in the SEC and probably the nation.

219 attempts for 1,547 yds and 14 TD's  7.1 yd per rush average.  And to think he was 2nd string until Gurley got hurt. Gurley had over 100 carries.  Just think what Chubb would have done with most of those extra carries.  Too bad he plays for the New Asshole of the SEC.

I'm sure Fournette will eventually be the shizzle too, but he's sucking Chubb's hind tit.  187 carries for 1,034 yds 10 TD's.

Totally agree.  Bert is being annointed as a rushing attack guru because of his time in Wisky, but mostly because he has no passing game to speak of at Ark.  As anemic as his aerial attack is, he should be leaning heavily on his RBs.

Thirded

Bobo the Clown could coach those rbs Arky has. They are very talented. And statistically should be better than they were last year.

Which, by the way, I am going to seriously try to attend in HOTLANTA. Have a good friend from Southern Indiana who is a big UL fan. Could be a very fun game.
